This game is awesome. It plays as easily as Frisk and Monotony with a dose of irreverent humor. If the name of the game or cover of the box doesnt entice you chances are the whole concept is lost on you and prolly over your head anyways. I found the game incredibly ironic. I can easily imagine a massive classy meeting room filled with the worlds movers n' shakers, with their lap dogs, puppets, and yes-men in tow, treating the fate of the world like it was a high-stakes board game. hey kinda sounds like the Bildeberg Group.....

A little Risk. Some Settlers of Catan. Some wacky satire at the state of the world and the product is greater than the sum of its parts. It's a fun game of Empires and Terrorism for the whole family.

We now play the War on Terror about a year (we had one of the first certified editions) and it's fun, thought provoking and very entertaining. We spent boxing day playing it with our best friends and their children. One of them is not even close to 13 years, but the parents believed there was NO HARM at all in giving some balance against the all surrounding propaganda. And we cannot do anything but agree.

War on Terror Board Game War on Terror Board Game The first time I played this game, I laughed so hard I soiled myself. The second time was all business; it ended with a broken nose and stitches, but you shoulda seen the other chick. When I gave it to my mother for her birthday she slapped me and took me out of her will and the family trust; after she played it I am now trustee and my sister don't get squat. When I sent a copy to Shrub at 1600 Pennsylvania, the commando team came bursting through every window and I was only able to taser four of them before we were all knocked cold by the concussion grenades. This game will change your life and if not for the better, then you likely needed to hit rock bottom. If you have no sense of humor then this game will give you one. If you used to kill small animals as a child, this game will cure you of your serial sickness. Figure out what is missing in your life, buy this game, and all your problems will be solved. No matte... Read more

After having seen this game mentioned on the Web many months ago, I finally obtained a copy when a US distributor got on board. Don't listen to the hype about this game sympathizing with political Terrorists, it does so no more than Risk encourages military hegemony or Monopoly causes the real estate bubble. It plays very much like those games, and like Anti-Monopoly with the added aspect of an NPC player: the Terrorists. In their turn, real players can support Terrorist forces to their advantage, but doing so risks a backlash as well. In addition, if real players are defeated playing as Empires of their own, they're not out of the game, they can continue by joining forces with the Terrorists. Empire players can even play both sides by supporting State terrorism, becoming an Evil Empire and donning the evil balaclava. Game conditions are influenced by Empire and Terrorist cards, representing situations from today's headlines. The rules even include templates for you to add your own ... Read more
