Cellular One 1

I had cellular one for about 5 years while I lived in London KY. When I joined the military and moved to Fort Lewis, WA. While in the move, their bill was lost and they sent it to collections. When I read my credit report, I saw that theyhad sent it to them. I then called them in July 08 to pay the bill off and to close the account out. In Nv. of the same year, I received a credit report and they were still open saying that I still owed the bill. I called them and they said the bill was never paid. I informed them that I had my bank statements with the amout they took out and the letter they sent saying the account was closed. Their reply to that was, "Send us a copy of the information and we will look into it".

I RATE CELLULAR ONE AS ZERO,,THEY LIED TO US ABOUT OUR SERVICE,,THEY LIED TO US ABOUT OUR PLAN,THEY SOLD US PHONES AND EAR PIECES THAT DON'T WORK PROPERLY,,AND I TRIED TO TALK TO THE DISTRICT MANAGER AND TOLD HIM I WAS TURNING THEM INTO THE B.B.B.,,,AND HIS COMMENT WAS,,I DON'T GIVE A F_____! ABOUT THE BBB THEY DON'T MEAN S_____! TO ME,,I AM THE BOSS AND IF YOU f____! WITH ME I WILL TURN YOUR PHONE OFF MYSELF!,,SO GO GET ANOTHER F_____ING PHONE SERVICE!

these reviews are old! cellular one (dobson) has vastly improved. The issues that were brought up in previous reviews are outdated. The network has improved and customers now have better phones than 3 years ago.

Horrible issues with no service. The morons have no service in an area not more than 5 miles from their retail store! And try and get them to live up to their promises. NO WAY! Like most, they are goddamn, thieving ripoff artists. No WONDER they have dropped from number one to number ten thousand in ratings!

Cellular One in Bastrop, TX (78602)has been advertising UNLIMITED MINUTES (all you can utilize during peak hour time and 1000 off peak). What they don't tell you and which is in the fine print you must read with bifocals is that you MUST utilize their network atleast 50% of the time, otherwise they will cancel your service. For those of us in this suburban area that's 30 miles from Austin and whom utilize majority of our talk time in the Austin area (not Cellular One's coverage area) one finds that the Cellular One network in Bastrop gets utilized maybe 20%. This company is horrible, the sales rep doesn't know anything about the service nor the phones. So wonder they dont have any business in Bastrop and Cingular is eating their lunch.

Had them for 6 months, no problem so far, no dropped calls roaming alert works when it should. contract ok. works good in wisconsin. Whatever the company, be sure they are good in YOUR area.

Cellular One 5

Cellular One has great service where I live and they're affordable. I know a few people that work there and they always go out of their way to help me with my bills, and I never have dropped calls and very rarely do I have no service (only in the woods). I love Cellular One!

There are very rude people that work there. and now they dont have a service counter for them to repair your phone. who has time to send your phone in and they wont even bother to give me a rental phone while mine is being serviced. what a bunch of jerks and i cant wait until my contract is up!

I recently got a bill for 547 dollars because the salesman flat out lied to me. He told me that there would be no roaming charges west of the mississippi. I took my phone back to idaho after school, is that west of the mississippi enough, and got slammed with bill because my night and weekend minutes apparently dont apply when im not using a cell one tower. now i have no money to return to school on. DONT GET CELL ONE!!!!!!

Had fourteen days to check phone service out in my area and if it did not work to send it back. I returned the phone in three days because of no service in my area. That was three months ago and my credit card has not been credited with the 140.00 I paid up front. In fact I have received two bills for thirty nine dollars and today a notice that my service would be cut off if I didn't pay those bills. Are all Okies as ignorant as those who work for Cellular One? I have tried for hours to get a customer service person to held me but they just say we will call you right back but never do. As a Texas I spend all year long waiting for October when we can go the Cotton Bowl and Kick their OKIE ASSES!

Have been trying to get billing problem resolved for 6 months, starting the month after subscribing. Customer service is rude and unresponsive. Forget about asking to talk to a customer service manager. Was able to get a apology after a call to corporate office, but the problem continues. They have been adding calls to our bill since July, for a number we have never called. For 6 months, they send an incorrect bill, refuse to pay, and they adjust the bill amount for the error. Then we repeat this process again the next month. Instead of finding and resolving the root cause, they have changed the phone number and replaced the phone itself. This is not a cloned phone problem. Last conversation the support rep. said this problem was happening with several accounts. If that is the case, why would anyone subscribe to their service. We have asked to be released from the 2 year contract and cancel the service, but no luck so far. STAY AWAY FROM CELLULAR ONE AND DOBSON CELLULAR! LET ME REPEAT, STAY AWAY FROM CELLULAR ONE AND DOBSON CELLULAR.

Obnoxious, non-customer oriented technical and service staff. I signed up for a plan with no roaming charges, and have since been billed over $1400 in roaming charges. Ten, they reat you like a criminal when you complain!!!

I had cell one for a couple years. At first they seemed alright but then I started getting roaming charges from in the city I live. They took them off of my bill for the first couple times but after that they told me that they were valid roaming charges. The last time that it happened I got a roaming charge from taking an incoming call in a local bar that I was in. I called and told them what happened. The rep told me that it was a valid charge and I told him I wanted to speak to a supervisor because I was really getting sick of these roaming charges. She of course told me that it was a valid charge and that the map of my service area was a guideline. I guess that means that the map doesn't mean anything. She told me that there was no way they were going to take the charges off of my bill. I asked her when my contract was up and she told me that it was up a month ago. The next day I had cell phone service through a different carrier. Cell One better do something different because I know of 4 other people that have switched from their service to another in the last 2 months because of the same type of problems.

The Cell One rep in Ohio told me that my Nationwide Plan would work in all of Ohio, PA, WV. When I asked if I'd get charged while at college... she told me that no matter where I was in Ohio (even if it said Extended AREA) I wouldn't be charged any extra. I thought it sounded too good to be true.. but she insisted it was their new plan. BS! I got my phone bill the other day.... $350!! When asked why I had been changed for all my calls (I didn't even go over my minutes)... they told me that the certain city (in OH) was not on the plan and all my free nights and weekends were VOID when in that city. To say the least... Cellular One is a terrible service. NO ONE GO THERE!!!!

I have to give Cell One 5 stars considering where I live. My choices are very limited, it is either Unicell used to be Cell 2000, which is very spotty service, Verizon, which is even worse, only service on major highways here in Northern Minnesota. I noticed that someone else mentioned that their CellOne is owned by Dobson, mine is as well, based in Duluth. They are nice to deal with on the phone. I have dealt with a few rude Cellone employees in person. Oh, and I also got my 50 bucks back on my rebate when I switched plans. I have always recieved notices of special offers in the mail. People are always going to have a good expericence or a bad experience with companies.

We've been with Cellular One for over 4 yrs. Two phones on same contract. First they don't even suggest to you a change in plans when you are eligible.Why should they, they stood to lose money that way. Next, if you get your phone stolen, that doesn't warrant them giving you a loaner phone until you replace yours.Add charges to your bill that shouldn't have been there to begin with. Such as 3 reactivation fees, when my phone was stolen. It's like they punish you for other peoples actions. STAY AWAY from CELLULAR ONE

I HATE THIS COMPANY!!!!! The only reason I picked this company was because they had the best signal at my house - well, it is NOT worth it!!! This company has no idea how to help anyone. My husband and I paid 139.00 a piece for new cell phones in April. Within the first week - I was on the phone talking and it cut me off - locked up and I could not do anything!!! I could not shut it off and my minutes are still ticking away. Called customer service about it and other issues that I was having - and the person I spoke with had NO CLUE what he was talking about. I asked him about downloading a ringtone - could not help me - my voicemail, still could not help me. So, I hung up. Now 4 months later, I still have the same trouble - have called customer service many times and still no help - sent emails to customer service several times - and no one responds. I was told I needed to set up an e-wallet to download ring tones, yet, they could not tell me how to do it. THEN, I finally after trying to this over the phone for the last couple months - I went into the CELLONE store (and I knew what I was in for). I walk in - I get greeted by some lady who looked like she would rather be dead then talk to me. I tell her about my phone locking up - the tech is gone for the day - ok then - next question - why is voicemail not working? I don't get my messages right away - they show up like 3 days to a week later? I said. the tech is out for the day she said. (I am remaining calm and still not flipping out - which is something I wanted to do - sooooooo bad) Well, I take a deep breath and ask my third question (keep in mind this girl has still not cracked a smile once) Why can't I download a ringtone off the CellOne website? I had called customer service and they said I needed to set up something called an E-WALLET? Here is the answer I got.....I don't know, I have never downloaded a ringtone before, and I have never heard of anything like an E-WALLET. Well, I left - more pissed off then ever - this girl had no clue about anything!!!! I was ready to jump over the counter and ring her fat neck. I went home - pulled up the website and there was something right on the page - about E-Wallets. This place sucks and I hate them - bad costomer service on the phone - bad costomer service in person - all around bad service - if you thinking about it - DON'T DO IT!!!! My husband and I have dealt with these people for over 2years and we have had it. Our bill was so screwed up the first couple months that we were getting sent cell bills for over $120.00!!!! and we should be getting one for like $80.00. We are gonna see what we can do to get out of it - and go to another company - maybe someone who knows how to turn a phone on? Oh, and there was a $50 rebate on each phone that we bought in April - we still have yet to see the money for that too!!!!

Where to start. I purchased wireless internet from cellular 1, had horrible problems with it. No tech help, spotty reception, and screwed up bills for months. The techs kept telling me the tower had blown breakers often (the supposid reason for my net outages) when in fact they had turned off my internet usage for possible piracy activities. This went on for about 9 months before I finally stormed into their office and demanded to know what was going on, and only then was I told that they had (illegally) searched my computer and found what they thought was pirated material and were shutting off my internet connection for days at a time. I said screw it, take me off of your service, and they wanted 400 bucks for an early termination which I didn't feel I should have had to pay for the shotty and illegal searches they were preforming. Filed a BBB complaint and had my lawyers contact them, and they suddenly relented and let me out of my contract for nothing. That took almost 3 months to accomplish. HORRIBLE service, snotty employees, and illegal searches of your personal property. Never will I do business with them again.

I have a Cellular One phone and luckily haven't had much trouble at all. I can't seem to get their web site to open. I feel bad for the people with the bad experiences with them. However, I wonder what Cell One did when all these people consulted with their attorneys, or their attorneys contacted Cell One for them. If these people don't have unlimited, personal & business access to top notch attorneys at affordable very rates, then they need to go to: www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/bryancecil I have used this service for $50 repair disputes. I have had Cellular One for almost four years ... One must remember that Cellular One is a franchise name, so they aren't all the same company. The Cellular One I deal with is owned by DOBSON. I live in Northeastern Ohio but the company's home office is in OKC. My service (reception) has always been excellent. However, the customer service is TERRIBLE. The call center is rude, unhelpful and bitter. I have had tons of billing problems. Moreover, I have found that Dobson Cellular One is dishonest. Please investigate the NY market attorney generals office if you would like more information on their illegal billing practices. Hope this helps!

If you want good service, DO NOT CHOOSE CELL ONE. My stories of terrible service as well as terrible assistance would fill up pages that many of you would be too busy to read, so I'll be brief. My phone (an analogue nokia which I paid quite a bit for) has NOT worked MUCH more often than it's worked, and when they "fixed" the phone, it still didn't work, and the service was just as bad (not just the phone). The phone was unreliable and randomly disconnected on me dozens of times. The customer service representatives told me that I'm stuck with the plan "even if the service does not work", that's a quote from a Cell-One sales rep. She said she COULD upgrade me though, to a "better plan" because "analogue phones always have more problems". They are not interested in providing adequate service as much as they are in making money. I still have numerous problems and rarely turn my phone on; I'm awaiting my contract expiration date. I've heard only good things about Sprint, although I have not tried them yet.

I hate Cellular One. They charge outrageous prices for their services and their billing cycle is all screwed up. I just got my pager disconnected because of the problems I had with Cellular One.
