I bought this bike last week and have really enjoyed it. I do not have a long torso, slightly long legs and the bike has a slightly more agressive posture than I'd prefer, but I consider myself a fast leisure rider. The Ultegra group is really nice and the wheels are great. I replaced the race-type tires with training rubber and the painful seat with a much more cushy gel model. Aside from the Ultegra components and the wheels, the components are good, but a little on the heavy side. The steel frame is nice but heavier than aluminum models. This bike is ideal for me because I'm more of a leisure rider. I'd rather be comfortable on the bike than shaving 1-5 seconds off a 10 mile ride. I'm also not a bike snob like these guys: http://www.jump.net/~macnutt/bikesnobs.html

I put 1,500 miles on a 2002 model last year and loved it all the way. The LeMond geometry works great for people with longer torsos/shorter legs (yours truly), but might not work well for others. Definitely try before you buy, and if it does not work for you then don't force the issue. Key features: Steel frame - feels great, will last until you are tired of the bike. You don't have to worry about fatigue cracks (like Al users do). Ultegra - the BA is one of the more affordable bikes on the market with a full Ultegra gruppo. Cool looking wheels - hey, I like them!

Designed by the great bicycling legend Greg Lemond, this road bike is truly a masterpiece. It combines comfort with reliability, the very light carbonite frame is very stable and the shimano shiftings prove to all that Lemond spared no expense. My father and I use this bike at least once a week and are satsified.

A very nice, mid-range bike. It has a classic Lemond steel frame for a supple ride. The geometry is perfect, with a very racy feeling. Just remember to remove the adjustment screws from the drop outs.

Personally, I don't own this bike, but a friend of mine does. In fact, using this bike she was able to ride across country to raise money for charity. She can not stop talking about how great the bike is because of its lightweight and durability.

Sweet bike -- shimano 105 components are rock-solid for the price, nice set of wheels, comfortable steel frame made from high-end Reynolds 853. May weigh a few ounces more than aluminum or titanium, but it rides nice. Remember -- steel is real.
