A trivia game with a gambling twist, Wits and Wagers requires no encyclopediac knowledge of arcane nonsense to succeed. Each turn consists of a single question, with each player writing their answer or guess on a card. Once this is done, all cards are exposed and placed on the game board in ascending order (all questions can only be answered with numbers.) Following this, all players can place up to two bets on any of the answers. The winning wager(s) will be on the card closest to the answer without going over. It can be played in teams, or with as few as three people, and is fast moving, easy to learn, quick to play and considerable fun. My kids and I played it several times over the holidays and enjoyed the trash talk almost as much as the game itself.

Great game for everyone! Interesting trivia but even if you don't know the answer - it's just as fun to guess! The gambling aspect makes it interesting as well. I know the age suggestion is over 8 but my 6 year old plays it with the whole family and loves it. A must have for any game players.

Wits and Wagers is the best party game we have come across so far! It's entertaining and we learn interesting numerical facts along the way. The answers and guesses are all numbers, so the game does not really tilt in favor of someone good at trivia. It is hence suitable for people of various backgrounds and ages. Each round plays quite fast, and you can stop during any round if you need to wind up and attack the food :-) It's addictive and we have had our friends request to play it more than a few times. It has certainly made us more popular amongst our friends :-)

This is a game that is easy to learn and great for families and parties. It is a trivia game, but that description does not do it justice. The betting element in the game takes the amount of fun of a normal trivia game and multiplies it by 100. Even if you don't know the answer, you can still do well if you can guess who does know the answer. This opens up lots of interesting possibilities for strategy, such as bluffing, playing the odds, seeing how well you know your opponents, etc. I am not exaggerating when I say that every family should own this game. It is by far the best trivia game I have ever played, and one of the best party games I have ever played. Also, the makers of the game have great customer service. Hey, are you still reading this? Buy it already!

Some friends of mine intriduced me to this game a few weeks ago. We had so much fun playing it that I went right out and bought my own copy right after we played! The game is interesting and fast-paced. There is no "down-time" where you have to wait for people to take their turns since everybody plays every time. There was lots of discussion and laughter as we tried our best to figure out the answers. The only downfall was that the dry-erase markers in my copy did not work. However, I contacted the game creators and they are sending me new markers! I look forward to many good times with friends as we play this game and can't wait for an expansion pack of the questions to come out! Every family who loves games should have their own copy of Wits and Wagers!

This is a great game, plain and simple. It's excellent for trivia buffs and can be played with people who aren't so good at trivia at the same time. Luck plays a good part in it, and it lets you gamble a little at the same time. Every generation of our family enjoys this game. I can't wait till they come out with a new set of questions- we've played this one so much we're running out of cards!

This game is fun for any group. It plays quick, requires no real knowledge of trivia - just educated guessing and clever wagering. I got this for Christmas this past year and my friends and I play it all the time. It really is a great party game and we're looking forward to when the expansion pack comes out.
