Oh my gosh. I used to use this product when I was younger and it was great. I haven't been able to find this tiny little bottle anywhere though. If you get a lot of acne though the bottle might run out fast.

AMAZING!!!! i used to have bad acne and proactive and murad both made it worse. i have tried everything out there and this stuff is the best by far. i use a foaming cleanser and then put the spot treatment on. everyone is saying not to use a lot but the trick is to pile it on, unless you have dry skin, it cleared up my problem areas in 2 days and i had COMPLETELY CLEAR skin in a week. i dont recommend using it in the day though because its looks white on your skin and shouldnt be worn in the sun. buy it!! its like magic.

This works great for a quick fix! It helps by drying out the skin and the acne goes away faster! Make sure not to use too much because it can dry out your skin and cause it to peel which is not good.

well isnt it just supposed to be a SPOT TREATMENT?

I'm 24 and have the occasional breakouts and some blackheads in my T-zone...Going along with the same complaints from others; it made my skin worse w/more breakouts and dried my skin out. I wouldn't even give it 1 star, I want my money back!

WOWWW...okay so I bought this yesterday then as soon as I got home I put it on to wear during the day then I applied it again at night. When I woke up this morning more than half of my breakouts were GONE!! But I do not have "acne", I breakout a lot on my forehead but it is not considered acne. This worked great for that one random pimple I had on my cheek because it was gone the next day...
If I know if I'm just going to be around the house for the day and do nothing I put it on and thats the perfect time to apply it.
BUY IT!

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Okay, granted...I don't have horrible acne, but I have been suffering from deep blemishes on my cheek that I could not clear up! So, along with cleaning my face with foaming cleanser, I (as usual) used some astringent on a cotton ball to clean the remaining makeup off my face. THEN--I use a minimal amount. Now, when I say minimal...I mean not more than a pin drop on the tip of my finger. You can use a little more if you need to, but for a few blemishes it just isn't needed, because you DO NOT want to use this on clear skin. After a matter of a few days, my acne spots dried up. I have continued this regimine at night (I only use the product in the morning if I really think I need to), and I enjoy my new clear skin.

I do suggest staying away from the skin above your lip or under your nose. I did this the first night and looked as if I had a bad case of a cold. Your skin will dry out...so use it sparingly and don't pick at your skin.

Like others have said, this product did nothing good for me. It didn't get rid of my acne, and just burnt my skin. I'm so red! I'm going out tonight, and I'm soo red and dry and gross! It's so embarrasing! I do NOT recommend this product.

Well I have been using this for about a week and no change in my acne...but my skin is dry and itchy. Maybe its just adjusting but I'm considering switching if it doesnt start working soon

I get the occasional pimples sometimes....Well i tried this on a huge one the last time.......Result? It made it red red RED and tender to the touch. i didn't like this.

Doesn't dry my skin like other Benzoyl Peroxide medications, but it is still effective at fighting acne. The tinted version even helps my skin look better. Highly recommended.

The Neutrogena acne treatment is the best benzoyl peroxide I've found. Its minimally irritating, and when applied to a blemish, it does significantly speed the drying and healing process. It can also be used to prevent future breakouts, when applied daily to acne prone areas. Reccommended for mild to moderate acned. Its not going to cure severe cystic acne though.

acne quickly clears up, but prepare to have very dry scaly skin....moisturize is a must with this product!

Just make sure you use a lot of it. That seems to be the key.

i've been using this for it a week, and all it does is make my skin dry and itchy. If I put a moisterizer on after, it just makes my pimples worse. I've been using it for a week and all it has done is gave me more pimples. but it seems to be getting rid of some of the smaller pimples

Maybe I should give it more than a 3 because I seem to have especially tough acne, but the fact remains that it didn't totally clear up my face. I'd give it a 3.5 if the option were there. I've tried lots of products, even the prescription Benzamycin (5% benzoyl peroxide and antibiotic erythromycin). Salicylic acid creams and pads didn't seem to do much, 10% benzoyl peroxide creams made my face peel, and even the 5% concentration in the prescription made my face very itchy and red even though I tried to use it consistently to "toughen up" my sensitive skin. Neutrogena On-the-Spot cream doesn't clear my face up (especially during certain parts of my hormonal cycles), but it does seem to control it better than other OTC products and it doesn't produce any of the irritation. Also, it isn't very pasty and it absorbs well so I can put it on in the morning without white marks on my face all day. Their claim of maximum effectiveness without the irritation holds true. It's pretty expensive for the little tube, but I'd recommend it for people with sensitive skin.

well i tried this product it isn't good at all. i used clean and clear persa gel 10 b4 then i switch thinking this wopuld be a good choice big mistake my face was almost clear then it went bad cause i switch

I’ve been using Neutrogena on the Spot treatment for about two months, and within that period, I still have breakouts and to be true it is increasing in number. This BP medication does not work really well, though its label mentioned that this medication contains ingredients that can enhance the BP penetration. Instead of applying it directly on my acne, I’ve applied this BP treatment all over face, thus IF ONLY this product works really well, it CAN make my appeared acne shrink and prevent the new one from forming! For two months, it is not worth a wait to see my complexion become clear than ever before! To those who have tried this acne medication and satisfied with the result, skin care solution, monicca, phillip 1989, krilin187, rachilove, sumwon, zoezanidakis etc.., all of you are just so lucky as this product suits with your skin condition, to those who are not, try other acne medication products that contains higher percentage of BP or any Hydroxy Acid treatments. This 2.5% of BP may not too strong enough for my skin type. However, the only compliment that I can give is this product help to control the production of oil especially at my nose area. I’ve paid for RINGGIT MALAYSIA 15.80 equivalent to USD4.16, which means for me quite expensive for only 21g of BP treatment. I can have 50g 5%BP treatment for only RM10 (USD2.63), and though this 50g of BP could not treat my acne but at least I can save my RM5.80 (USD1.53) that appeared to be as the extra payment for this 21g of Neutrogena acne treatment! Final remarks, to those who want to have a try, go on at your own risk. This product doesn’t work well with me! It might work wonders to some people but not me... because for 5 tubes still...there's no even a visible change on my face.

This Neutrogena Acne Treatment is an excellent acne treatment compared to any other acne medication available in the drug stores. It contains only 2.5% of Benzoyl Peroxide. You might think that less percentage of Benzoyl Peroxide will make the treatment less effective but to be true, it is important to note the other ingredients in this product that can enhance the Benzoyl Peroxide delivery process to the skin pores. Most of the BPO creams consist of BPO (5% - 10%) and the preservatives, Methylparaben and Propylparaben. These preservatives are included in order to maintain the medication from early expiration as these preservatives restrore the BPO so that it can be used within a period of time. These preservatives are not to enhance the delivery process. However, this Neutrogena product contains the ingredients that can enhance the penetration. The necessity in taking oral medication for the treatment of acne like zinc and vitamin C is something that considered to be strongly recommended. Here, I would like to add that, the purpose of taking the zinc supplement is to speed up the recovery process of acne. Vitamin C however is for the process of rebuilding the collagen. For those who are having acne scars, vitamin C can make the scars disappear gradually. The mentioning of iodine and foods that can aggravates acne, try to understand which foods make your acne worse. Like if eating chocolate worsens your acne, so avoid it. If not, then you are free to consume it. But it is advisable to eat moderately with all of the vitamins, minerals and protein included in your foods. Avoid eating fried and oily foods. This acne-mediaction product work wonders! It really did. It's neither to creamy nor watery, and it gives you the maximum absorbtion into skin. It contains 2.5% of Benzoyl Peroxide, and as long as it is called Benzoyl Peroxide, it does give you some sort of irritations, but this product however appeared to be gentler. I had several big acnes, when I applied this product directly, (especially before bed) you'll feel that your acnes will dry up. However it takes 2 to 3 days for total recovery. Nevertheless, this small tube is quite expensive for me.

This small tube of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide does work wonders for me. Apply onto face twice daily but please discipline yourself where you have to apply it consistently, let say 10 a.m and 12 p.m. So, on every other day, you need to apply this benzoyl peroxide medication on the same time and this will give a hint for your skin when will it receive the medication as it will learn on how to get along with benzoyl peroxide. One more thing i would like to add here, do take zinc supplement (20 - 50 mg of elemental zinc) to improve your skin condition. Though chicken and meat do supply enough quantity the daily need of zinc, but these foods are having the capability in aggravating acne. My point is, if there're foods that can make your skin beautiful, so there must be foods that can make your face worse! Avoid sugar and dairy products. Take vitamin C supplement (100mg). Ignore what have been told to you that "there's no evidence shows that certain foods can aggravate acne"!By following all of this, I believe that you'll get your beautiful skin back after years suffering from acne. So, try this Neutrogena 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, follow up with zinc and vitamin c supplement. It's worth a try!

I used it for more than a week and nothing happened. In fact, my acne became worse. It is an expensive tube which is too small.

A milder, more forgiving BP based treatment. A lot of people in their comments knock it because of the dryness it causes. While it can dry your face, its important to follow it up with a moisturizer. That way, you can use it and still go out in public. Dry, irritated skin can contribute to further breakouts. Another post I read said they put it on and nothing happened the next day. It doesn't work overnight. It works gently and takes days, not hours. It is an excellent product that is a good alternative to higher concentration (and more drying) BP products.

Works good---but it makes my face dry and cracky, plus the acne turns an awful purple pigment...but not so bad for its price.

This stuff is incredible. I has cleared up virtually all of my acne. I don't usually wear it during the day, but I cover my face with it at night. It is a little costly but well worth the money.

Alright... for you people who use this product already you should probably know that is's a gem... first off it doesn't dry your skin like the larger concentrations of BP do... if you don't like it right now, that just means you aren't using it right... ignore the directions and apply the BP all over your face... that will PREVENT pimples... who wants to have to try to kill the pimples they have now when they can just prevent them from ever coming... sounds like a much better deal... for more details on how to use this product go to the NON-commercial site that this one guy (who I am in no way affiliated with... we don't even live in the same time zone) made and it details an excellent regimen... try it out... acne.org you've got nothing to lose

This product really worked! This is the only treatment I have used that did exactly what it said it would do. You just apply a small amount of this on each pimple and it does the rest itself. It made smaller pimples disappear the next day and larger pimples in 2-5 days. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone with acne.

It clears skin really quickly. It can also be used as a concealer because it is tinted. It's the best acne treatment I've used.

I think it's great, because you don't have to put a treatment all over your face where there are strong chemicals to attack acne, which are instead attacking your good skin. I really liked this on the spot treatment because at the first sign of a blemish, this treatment attacks the pimple right away. If you use it overnight, the next day you will wake up acne free. Putting any acne medication all over your face tends to make it dry.

Drys out your face a little. Clearer skin. The good thing about it is it acts like a concealer and also fits blemishes.

I have found that my blemishes shrink or disappear within three to four days. I have also found it to not dry it out too much.

Neutrogena On-The-Spot Treatment works really well with the big pimples. If you use it everyday, it is less effective because your skin gets used to it. You should not use it with small pimples.

Works very well especially when used with the Neutrogena acne mask. Gets rid of acne very rapidly.

I use it for the occaisional zit. Even the painfully swelled up ones seem to shrink overnight, and disappear in what seems like less than half the time it usually takes. Also, it kind of has a fleshtone color- good for use as a slight cover-up for those of use who don't wear makeup.
