The second day I used this i stopped getting new pimples. I had really bad acne on my forehead alone for a few months so i just put it there. after about 4 days 90% of my pimples dried out my skin was getting clearer! It's been a week now and i'm pimple/acne free!! The scars are still there though but my forehead is smooth and I hope if I keep using it they'll go away too. Great product!!, it cost me $4.99 at Target. It was a wonderful price for a wonderful product. Oh I washed my face before bed and put it on, then in the morning when i woke up I washed my face again and put another layer on. If I had to go out I took it off because it does show up white (i'm black but I think even on a white person it would show up white). I tried putting moisturizer with it but it didn't mix so well. It really stresses to use sunscreen with it so i would. You really have nothing to lose by trying it and I'm confident it'll work for you. I have very oily skin fyi.

I used the persa gel in combination with Neurtrogena oil free acne scrub for two weeks and its a miracle product. I have combination skin so the first week for about two days I had a dry patch of skin. I started putting a moisturizer on before the medicine and the patch went away. Today is the end of week two and I am 95% acne free. I had severe adult acne on both cheeks and chin. All of my family and friends are amazed on how quickly it worked. If you stick to a twice daily facial care regimen then it might work for you too. You can hardly even tell I had acne before.

IF YOU HAVE DRY SKIN STAY AWAYYYYY!!!! IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN THIS IS THE ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYERS!!!!! i have oily skin and pretty bad embarassing acne, i use a facewash and this 3 times a day, and within a week most of my acne went away!! great product, yes it dries up the skin so if you have dry skin it will probably make it worse. but if u have oily skin like mine it will give a nice glow to ur face once it is washed off. AMAZING! I have been using this cream for over a month now and I have not had a single pimple since I started using it! Before my face broke out everyday. I put it on before I go to bed and sleep in it, then I wake up and wash it off in the morning and put on a moisturizer. It has been a life saver!!!

When I ran out of my prescription for benzoyl peroxide/erythromycin cream that I gotten from my doctor, I immediately started getting breakouts on my forehead (the only place I ever get acne). I went to Target looking for an over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide cream and saw the Clean and Clear Persa Gel 10 and thought that I would give it a try. After using it for the first few days, I was fairly impressed with how it dried up my acne and made it almost completely disappear. Well, about a week or so later, this stuff completely quit working. I started getting painful, red acne all over my forehead again even though I continued to use the stuff twice a day after showering and washing my face at night. I guess I will be going back to the doctor's to renew my script for my benzoyl peroxide/erythromycin cream. I definitely would not recommend this stuff.

hi everyone!this cream works really well.dont go for the 2.5%even though u have mild acne probs.go for 10%.it heals quickly and it isnt too drying.even though if it dries, use a moisturizer cream and drink lots of water.the cream also clears pimple marks very quickly and in my opinion i would even give it a 11/10.hats off to c&cpersa-gel; 10.

I think it works really well. It prevents any zits. If your skin is drying out, that means your useing to much. Just coat you whole face with a thin layer before bet and in the morning. Everybody gets zits, so if one pops out, dont touch it and leave the persa-gel do the work!

This stuff works INSANELY WELL especially during first use... eventually your skin will grow immune to it so you'll have to switch products temporarily. It may cause a little redness during first time use as well but you'll be zit free!

this gel is not made for people with sensitive skin. Caused reddening of the face an severe discomfort. You mustmoisturize.

This works good, but doesn't complete clear up your face. It really helps to control the acne.

This product worked on me 4 the first few weeks. And then it back fired. My skin got dry and flaky and started producing more oil. My pores got clogged with the dead skin cells, and all the excess oil got backed up. So in the end,I ended up with more zits than I started with.

Persa-Gel 10 has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, and I advise ppl who are sensitive to it to STAY AWAY> I've heard alotta ppl complainin' about the dryness..the whole point in Benzoyl peroxide is so dry the skin out, so theres no oil and for no breakouts to occur. If your skin starts becomin' dry, use a lotion by Aveno or Cetaphil. Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 really worked well for my skin, although it takes time. Within' a week my big pimple was small and a lil' makeup covered it. =)

This product works very well for the first week ur face will dry up alot and there will be icthing if you use it 3 times a day. but after the second week your face will be cleared up. I tried differin a prescription drug it didn't work as well as this did. right now im on the 4 week of useing it and my face doesn't feel dry at at all but it does feel tight when ever you use it. This product really works but you do have to go through some discomfort at the begining. This product is alot better then neutrogena on the spot most people dislike it because they think it will cleaar up over night but it takes 2 weeks to clear up and 2 months to get clear skin

This does an okay job for my skin (oily to normal, big pores). I also have a slight to moderate acne problem. When used nightly it kept major breakouts away most of the time, but comes with irritation which usually causes some small breakouts from time to time. If your looking for something to try, give this a shot, it might work better for you.

I'm 28 and have used almost every product on the market, and none work as well as Persa-gel, so i've been using it for aeons. Every other product caused me to break out and didn't get rid of the blemishes i had.

I would reconmend it as a spot treatment. Using it all over makes your face whiter than Casper the Friendly ghost and dry. Persa-Gel 10 is also the only acne treatment I've tried that said "..avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use sunscreen." It does work quite well, as results are noticible in a few days. I put on a thin layer in problem areas, then 5-10 minutes later apply a moisturizer (just make sure it says that it will not clog pores). The one I use is made my Neutragena and also has a SPF 15 rated sunblock in it. Perfect to use with this product. Just a little side note. Someone said it has a bad smell. Smell? What smell? BP doesn't have a tell tale odor.

After using the neutrogena spot treatment getting maximum results, I thought I'd try a treatment with more benzoyl peroxide. So I tried persa-gel seeing that it was the same formula dermatologists had prescribed and was now available without a prescription. At first, my skin started to peel, but then got used to it and I could see dramatic results. It was more effective in reducing pimples than neutrogena. What I didn't like about this product is that if you use too much at one time, your skin will NOT like that! Sometimes if you put too much, it doesn't completely vanish. I recommend that you use this as a spot treatment. If you use it on your whole face...uh-oh. so if you have mild acne, try using the 5 percent solution. So try this product-- you've got nothin' to lose except for your pimples.

I've only been using it for a couple of days, but it seems to be working. It does dry your skin out a whole lot but I'm gonna give it two weeks. If it works wonderful!!!!

I use Benzoyl Peroxide products on a semi-regular basis, and this one has a nice gel texture that blends well into the skin and is VERY similar to what you get from a dermatologist. It soaks in very quickly and then I can put my make-up on without worrying about it flaking or caking up and mixing in with my foundation (looking like I have shedding skin or toilet paper residual on my face) as I try to apply the foundation... this happens with many of these type products, but not with Persa-Gel. I actually prefer 5% all over my face and the 10% on just the bad places.

It drys out your face. It makes you peel. If you have a sensitive face then it's bad. My face did not clear up. It smells very bad.

Man! It works! Other overnight treatments leave the blemish the same, but this stuff dramatically diminishes them. No over drying either.

Works very well but dries out skin, eventually works and skin gets used to it. Not too expensive, only 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, so you can get it from the doctor.

You only put it on certain spots so it doesn't dry out your whole face making it peel. It gets rid of acne in a few days and zits and pimples in a day or so.

I was extremely disappointed in Clean and Clear. I had a zit and was hoping that this gel would help clear it. Not only did it make it more red but it also dried out the skin around it and made it all dry and flaky. So I had a bigger redder zit with dry flaky skin around it. When you have that kind of predicament, what do you do? You don't want to put moisturizer on the dry skin because then it provides the zit with oil, you don't want to leave it alone (eventhough that would be the best thing to do) and you don't want to put cover up on it because that just makes it more obvious. It was hopeless. I struggled almost unbearably self conscience for a couple of days but eventually survived the situation.
