can you substitute buttermilk for regular milk? I love it with regular milk but I would love to use up my buttermilk and don't know if it would work with the cix. Has anyone tried this? Dianne

I really love this mix. I had previously bought the Heidi's Cottage Cheese Pancake mix and we really enjoyed it (you use cottage cheese instead of milk/water to the mix) but in my review I commented that I wished it had whole grain instead of white flour in the mix, and I only gave that mix a 4. When I saw this mix I was thrilled to see the whole grains and had to try it. I use milk intead of water to mix it up (directions call for water) for extra flavor and nutrition. I eat these without any syrup and my family agrees they are delicious pancakes.

These truly are the best pancakes I've ever eaten - and I am not a pancake lover. I used to buy Heidi's mix locally, but the store stopped carrying them so I was delighted to find them on amazon.com! I have been talking about Heidi's pancakes and sharing them with family and friends. I haven't tried the other varieties - (cottage cheese just doesn't appeal to me). I'm happy with the Grainy Day pancake mix and I don't think I'll ever try another kind. They're easy to make and nutritious too - what else could you ask for? Yum! My only wish is that they came in a largr size - the 12 oz. box doesn't go very far.

I bought this mix on a whim in a local store, and finally got around to trying it. We liked it so well, I checked to see if it was carried by Amazon. This is a good price, if you don't have to pay for shipping. These pancakes cook up nice and fluffy, considering the fiber content. The flavor is great. We added some frozen blueberries with Vermont Maple Syrup and YUM!!

Finally found a "nutty" and multigrain pancake mix with good fiber count that my family enjoys. You add milk and egg, grease up (or spray) the pan or griddle, and go! I'm glad I got the multipack option from amazon. We really enjoy these. Since it's just hubby and me, the mix for the one cup of mix makes enough for us and one pancake (good size) leftover for hubby to warm up for snack or breakfast on a rushed morning. Even nuked the day after, yum. He likes it so much, he doesn't even use syrup! He eats it plain. It's got a nice vanilla-ey scent when you mix it up (and yes, very grainy!) and a slightly sweet taste. I recommend it to folks who want the convenience of a mix. (I've made my own pancakes with whole wheat organic flour, and while I make it fine, I really like this mix even better.) Try it. Mir

I first made a batch of these with water, and they were good. The second batch I made, I used milk and they were great! Very flavorful and due to the fiber content the pancakes kept me full much longer than Bisquick pancakes do.
