I absolutely love Estee Lauder. I am 20 years old and I have a very pale and slightly oily complexion. I have been searching for years for a foundation that does not change color on my face and stays put. Estee Lauder is the only brand I have ever found to match my skin perfectly. I use their lightest foundation. Not only was the color wonderful but my makeup stays in place all day long and does not get oily. I use the doublewear foundation and powder in the color Bone. I get so many compliments on my makeup. I was hesitant to purchase the foundation the first time, but the department store manager told me that her and all her supervisors preferred Estee Lauder....even the ones who were head of Clinique. I find Estee Lauder to be much better quality than Clinique. The Clinique makeup does not cover as well and becomes oily and their eyeshadow and blush colors are very childish. I feel like Estee Lauder tries to be like Clinique, but is not as successful. Their color palette is not as good and their product line is not as innovative. However, it's still good quality make-up and fairly priced for a department store brand. I gave them three stars because they don't really have any stand-out products worth mentioning in my opinion.

The new line of Tom Ford for Esteee Lauder is quite good, especially the illuminating lotion for face. But other than that, I find their products to be be overpriced. I rather buy Chanel or Dior

Love their gifts with purchase, especially the eyeshadow and lip palettes. Chicago and Neiman's Saks usually have the best gifts, and more importantly, service. The sales assistants do their best to discuss the products with you. But avoid the EL counter in Chicago's Nordstrom: lowsy and unprofessional.

I HAVE USED ESTEE LAUDER DBL MATE FOUNDATION AND POWDER FOR OVER 15 YEARS. I FOUND TO BE ONE OF THE BEST THERE IS.ONCE AN A WHILE I WANT TO TRY SOMETHING ELSE, BUT I END UP GOING BACK. OTHER MAKE UPS MAKE ME LOOK TIRE AND DO NOT LAST.

in general i really do not care for estee lauder cosmetics.think that they're over-rated. i prefer Elizabeth Arden by far. to me there's no comparison. i wouldn't waste my money on estee lauder. what they do know what to do is put on good ad campaigns and locate the counters in the prime locations in the department stores to catch your eye competitively.

I personally buy only clinique -- but I do happen to have some Estee Lauder mascara that I would kill for. It doesn't clump and its light. My eyelashes have been thick and long ever since birth and I'm always complimented on them but I've always found it so hard to find mascara that didn't clump them together and make it just look like I had 2 or 3 giant eyelashes. I highly recommend any Estee Lauder mascara, it is truly the best and worth every penny!

I have long been a fan of Estee Lauder cosmetics but I agree with debrak regarding the objectionable aroma of the lipsticks. It is a tobacco-like odor which seems to stay with the lipstick,therefore producing a similar taste. It is a shame that this creates a negative opinion of the lipstick because I do like the choice of colors and the staying power of the product.

Color selection and staying power seem fine to me, but my mom and I have been discussing a strange odor/taste that seems to have arisen in their lipsticks and wand lip glosses/hiliters in recent years. I get a strong tobacco-y smell and slightly less strong taste, while my mom just says both are "weird." This wasn't true in earlier products -- I know because today I found one I bought 8 years ago and never opened, and it has no such odor.

It's pretty good makeup, and Estee Lauder usually has a wonderful Christmas makeup kit, and has many gifts with purchase throughout the year. The only problem is I end up with more tiny bottles of lotion and perfume samples than I know what to do with. UPDATE: I grew up on Estee Lauder and don't use it as much as I did in my younger days, but their liquid eyeliner is the best. It is easy to apply and does not flake.

I use Estee Lauder skin care and cosmetics, and I'm only 25! They offer several lines of skin care, each tailored for your skin. I admit, the products are a little expensive, but they are far superior to the kind you purchase in Meijer or Wal-Mart. You certainly get what you pay for, in my book. Whether you're using the skin care products, the lip gloss, or the perfumes, Estee Lauder is top notch!

just plain sexy

I have several Lauder lipsticks but recently purchased Electric lipstick. I went back the same day and purchased 3 more. The color, the consistancy, the shine!! Very happy with this line of Lauder!!

'short lasting' and feathers, great colors though

I do not buy Estee Lauder products too often because of the price, but I will admit they have the best perfumes and they have a beautiful red lipstick that I love in a shade that they call Sexy.

Even though it claims to be pure color long lasting, I can say that it usually lasts about an hour before disappearing. The best part about this lipstick is the taste - way better than most.

This line targets those of a more mature nature. It is a nice line of make-up but also an industry monster, and in cases like this you end up paying more for things that are not actually worth the amount they are being sold for. This line is not industry favored.

Expensive but top notch in my book.

It is a great lipstick simply because it is inexpensive for the quality. It has earthly tones which come with moisturizer atoms and provides a shimmer.

Their lipstick is smooth, lasting, vibrant and inexpensive. Easy to find. Affordable.

Estee Lauder's lipsticks are the best- great colors and long lasting- although their lipliners aren't so great and break easily. I will always prefer Estee Lauder's lipsticks to others.

Great value, great moisturizer. Wonderful, and lasts longer than others.

This lipstick is great. I would give the product quality a five plus. The different lines(moisturizing, DayWear) are very long lasting or do moisturize as their names claim. The color assortment is good although the makeup brand is mainly aimed towards older and more wealthy women. This somewhat limits the color selection. I rated this brand a 4.5 because it is an expensive product. My favorite shade is Haute Pink, but it was discontinued.

Estee Lauder lipstick has the two qualities I value most in a lipstick; long lasting color, and they don't bleed.

Expensive, but promotional items are great. I like the subtle colors. Very classy, not trashy looking. Texture is good. Don't like having to sharpen eyeliner, as it is a thick pencil.

They've got great colors and it's moisturizing. My mom has used it since she was a teen. So I would definitely recommend it to others.

Pretty cases. Color Stay lipsticks are awesome and they really do stay on all day. However, they stain your lips and your lips lose moisture.

I think Estee Lauder is a ripoff. It's expensive and it isn't that great. It's like a normal Longs Drugs' lipstick, but you're charged so much for it. They focus on skin products mostly, not really on lipsticks.

My biggest reason for disliking Estee Lauder's lipstick is that it has a strong perfume scent. The scent stays with you even if the lipstick is gone. So when you eat a meal with the lipsticks on, not only do you taste the food but the lipstick also.

Lipstick, I think, is like clothing. They can be expensive because people think the quality is good, but sometimes they can be deceiving. I think that it is too expensive for one thing and it's similar to many lipsticks that are sold in drug stores. It's just the name and because it's an imported item.

The lipstick colors are strong, but the longlasting lipstick stains your lips so that it starts out dark, but then fades to bright pink when you try to wipe it off. It also has a strange taste and smell to it.

I really like Estee Lauder.

I like their products but their colors are not very variable, however, the product quality is great.
