Undersized for the job, he compensated by being aggressive and tough. He played the position with spirit and technical brilliance.

1962-1968 Boston Patriots, 1969-1976 Miami Dolphins. #85. 2 time pro-bowler, 8 time AFL/NFC All-Star. Inducted into the NFL Hall-of-Fame in 2001. He was a smallish linebacker by todays standards but look who he played with, the only NFL undefeated team. If you see old films during his playing days you will notice this scrapper in on many tackles. He seemed to be everywhere on the field. He was known as a clean player who loved the game of football.
