I just purchased a Burton board for the first time in my life and have been incredibly happy with it. I've been riding a Kemper board that is almost 7 years old now and I was amazed at just how different the ride was with a Burton. The board feels much lighter and considerably more responsive in turns (especially hard carves on the toe side edge). The board also seems to have much more flex to it and is able to absorb landing impacts better than my other board without passing it straight through to my knees. Outstanding board, I wish I would have tried one much sooner!

I take it that most of the negative responses are by people who can't afford a Burton board. If Burton stood behind their warranty for broken boards, can you ask more from a company? And how many of the broken ones were rider fault...i.e. can't land a jump...and land on the nose.

Burtons are good if you live on the east coast or just ride park or groomers. If you like big mountain riding they suck. They are expensive and have no durability. I spent one season riding burton customs and they kept snapping. They would get all these hairline cracks in the top sheet, get all noodely then delam and snap. I will say they replaced everyone for free but I spent a lot of time sending boards back and waiting. If you hit a rock with your burton forget about it, the bases are so soft you'll tear right through into your core. A small chunk of base on neversummer could easily be a board retiring coreshot on a burton. I will say I like there boots and bindings since they got the duribility issues worked out on the c60 highbacks, that kept snapping over and over again. Either way don't be fooled by the hype go to any big mountain west coast resort and I promise none of the locals will be riding burtons. Burton claims to be a down to earth rider owned company, but shit... Read more

WHHHAAA! If Burton sucked they would not be the largest snowboarding company on the planet. They make great boards for all levels and they are priced ultra-competitive. You can buy a beginner board (Burton Bullet) at any typical sporting goods store for around 200 bucks and for that price you are getting a pretty great product featuring the latest technology. If you want to pay up you can buy a customer X or something like that, but after one run you realize that the board is worth every penny. FYI-Arbor, Never Summer, Ride all feature expensive high end boards that are within 50 bucks of Burton...Only difference is that the Burton is usually the first one down the mountain. Don't hate the player...hate the game!

Burton uses carbon fiber and other expensive elements in thier high-end boards. I have been riding for 17 years, and used burton for 8 of those. I have the new Custom X which is amazing. Average/Beginner riders will not be able to tell the difference, but it really is the difference between a driving a Porsche and a Honda. If you disagree try out a Burton Vapor. There is no better response in any board.

Burton Snowboards are great.... I have found that of all snowboards that Burton's are the most forgiving.... Burton makes there snowboards for not only Advanced riders, but also beginner riders. I have been snowboarding for over 10 years, and can proudly say that Burton makes some of the best snowboards in the world, and will most likely continue to keep up the tradition.... Its also good when you can find a good deal on them too.... I just bought a Burton Jussi from modernskate.com for about $350 with free shipping. I have been riding this board for the last 2 weeks or so, and it is one of the best boards I have ever ridden, and I definitly got my moneys worth. The only problem is finding time to ride it... Collage is getting in the way of my snowboarding venture.... Kind of a bummer....

Love or hate em because of the bandwagon, Burton has building solid equipment with tremendous R and D for years. With players like the Jussi and Custom X you cannot go wrong. I have ridden Burton for about 14 years and have loved their boards every step of the way.

I must agree with the first comment I have seen on here...Burton Smurton bla bla bla if you want your board to make you look cool go with a high maitenance burton...if you want to make yourself look cool you will need a board that performs flawlessly with little maitenance, I have had a burton custom and it lasted me about a year and a half then one day on a rail the edge hooked and the board was destroyed...with no edge means no carving and delamination really fast!!But I have had a GNU altered Genetics or for those who don't know this is also a Lib Tech board it does need to be waxed quite often but this board is TOUGH EXTREMELY LIGHT and hasn't let me down, I have also bought a Nitro which I have ridden in the mountains cause it is wider than my Gnu and a little longer, it has been a good board but is much heavier than my GNU. I must say burton's are a good board but not as good as Lib Tech or some others and they also charge more than the others...so you do the math???something doe... Read more

Burton's are absolutely horrible for the money spent. Not to say they arent decent but for the price you could get a way better board. Burton spends too much money in advertising and not enough into making riders happy. Go for a rider owned company or one that spends its money providing for the rider. Lib-Tech/Rome all the way! Even compare the Ride Kink or Burton Dominant Rides park board compared to burtons park board. Rides is $330 burtons is $380. Included with the ride is the ride cleave edge which means fifty percent thicker edges than the dominant, the new slimewall technology for increased dapening and chatter reduction and to knock it of they added a sintered base which runs laps around burtons extruded base.

I've had a Burton Floater for about three years now, and I absolutely love it. The ride is super smooth and its ideal for big, sweeping, gliding turns down the hill, which is how I like to do it. If you're an expert, you'll probably want to get something more aggressive, with a sharper edge. But if you're intermediate and enjoy gliding down the hill, you can't go wrong with a Burton Floater (though the designs are a bit goofy).

i have used the same burton bindings for 5 years now, and they have never let me down. i love them. all my friends who have used burton boards have liked them and this testifies to the quality in the burton name. i just bought a new burton custom x (shag) with the cartel bindings and am excited to experience this burton setup myself.

i have never boarded with burton boards, but i have rented a really crappy, thick, non-flex board with a buton binding. these bindings were easy to use, but the only problem with them was that it attracted a lot of snow, therfore causing ice to be sticking all over the binding. not a bad binding, but its a pain when that happens.

i have a 1994 burton rippey (people can never remember this one) it has the goldfishs on the front..its gold yeah well it kinda sucks for the money i paid. its turns ok (sucks at sharp turns) but its very slow the graphics are fruity and its over rated i think and well oveRpriced.and ususaly its too old for me to find the correct accesories for. i would much rather recomend a ride or liquid snowboard because liquid has the k2 name behind it, rides are great and liquids are even better.. extremely fast, super light, and get great air also grind well..get a liquid or ride burtons kinda suck

When you think of companies that make snowboards, the first thing that pops in every snowboarders mind is Burton. Burton is definately a great investment especially if you know the type of riding you're geared for, may it be freestyle or freeride.

It is possible that in the end all board makers are the same and that it is just a matter of 'branding', yet so far I have been very satisfied with every single type of Burton board I've ever ridden. I currently own a Clash and it is great.

Burton Snowboards are great. They make a lively board with quick response that is very durable. I used to work in a board shop and Burtons always were a favorite. The only problem is the price. They are too expensive and I would rather give my money to a smaller, lesser known corporation that makes better boards.

A very good board. The best I have tried. The price was very afforable. Model and color schemes match with a wide selection of bindings and boots. The graphics on the board are very eye catching. Good light construction.

The best on the market. They spend the most time and money on research and development. Because of that they put out the best riding decks in the snowboarding industry. Jake Burton, owner and founder of Burton snowboards created snowboarding by himself. Everybody said he was crazy when he said, "I'm going to surf down the mountain."

Burton is the leader in technology. The have always been the groudbreakers with new improvements. I like Burton for their amazing selection. Whether you're a beginner who has lots of money to spend, or a pro who likes to blow dough, Burton has the board for you. Their top of the line freestyle board is made with the same technology as used in airplane wings. WOW! It is by far the lightest board on the market.
