06/24/2003 | Rate it how you want, in the 60s and 70s, this was the start of anime for many American boys, and all of us under 10 watched this show. Of course the technical quality is low. But that car was slick as hell, and Speed was every boy's hero.

06/23/2001 | Japanese cartoons usually annoy the heck out of me, but growing up with Speed Racer was fun - I guess whatever minor messages that kids got from this one were OK and fairly positive; Certainly entertaining.

05/14/2001 | maybe this was more for boys then girls. I was never a fan of this cartoon. For one thing the animation was bad.and the stories were dumb.

05/13/2001 | As a kid, Speed Racer was my absolute favorite cartoon. I idolized that guy. Not that I started wearing white pants or anything, but I did want to name our (female) family dog "Speed Racer." It's a shame my parents vetoed that idea.

05/06/2001 | speed racer is one of the best cartoons ever to come from japan to america. the animation needed some work but it was a great cartoon. i wish they still made the tapes cuz i want to buy them.
