Schwinn 131 Upright Exercise Bike

Bought it at Sears for close to $600 CDN. January 2009 My warranty expired January 2010, I didn't call right away when the Console started to freeze and bike stopped putting out resistance, so no matter if you were on the flat surface or climing huge hill, it was same No resistance, and screen keeps freezing, Today is January 14th and warranty expired on the 5th. SEARS basically told me there is nothing they can do, after I spent $2500 on the snow blower and another $600 on SCHWINN excercise bike, only so it could last 1 year, you think you can't get that from Wal-Mart for under $200 ??? Well you can. SEARS Costumer service was very snutty with me, SCHWINN is not helpful at all, I will NEVER buy anything at SEARS again, and I don't want to ever hear about SCHWINN again !!! Too great of a risk to take, I mean spend $600 and have it stop working after 1 year ??? Technician told me that Console is $360 + $60 Labour and plus TAX !!! I purchased the Schwinn 131 bike from Amazon and it arrived in one week. The box was utterly destroyed and re-taped everywhere. The contents of the box (bike) were used and used heavily. Original styrofoam and packing material was missing, foot base has cracked in half. So, I returned it and promptly got a replacement in two days. The outside box was in a bit better shape, but the bike inside was heavily used again. Also, the replacement AC adapter prongs were bent beyond repair. The LCD was used and cracked. The parts literally would have had to have been thrown against a wall to be in this bad of shape. Totally unacceptable. Another 2 hours of time lost in unpacking and repacking. Taking my refund and going local. When you buy on Amazon they list used products in a separate area. After receiving two used, and damaged bikes, I honestly question what type of second hand goods they are selling as new. ZERO STARS FOR AMAZON. All the previous reviews helped me make my decision to purchase this bike. I am pleased that I did. My daughter and I both like all features, and the quality is great for the price. Everything came faster than expected, and all pieces were present and working well.

I don't have really anything bad to say about this bike. I did not have any probs with the equipment being delivered broke or it not all being there. The bike was easy to put together, or at least my boyfriend said it was, and it did not take a long time to get together. When using the bike the different programs available are great to use and gives a great workout. Also the bike is very quite so it doesn't annoy you. Plus the bike is small enough so it don't take up to much room! I highly recommend this bike to others!!!

I received my Schwinn 131 two days ago. I am very pleased so far. The variety of programs is wonderful. There is something for everyone. The machine is smooth and quiet. I would like it to be a bit bigger. I'm 6'1", and I'm at the limit of the sizing adjustments. Assembly is pretty easy, and the tools are included. Although, if you have your own real tools, the task will go quicker. For the price, I highly recommend. Amazon has the lowest price, and free shipping. Edon

I just received my bike today and absolutely am 100% happy with my choice. I spent a long time looking for a bike that suited me and was comfortable. I was only able to try the 130 in person, not the 131. Bought the 131 from here and had it shipped 1 day (a great choice for this item). Sending it quicker had it bouncing around less, and with prior reviews, there was lots of damage in transit. The box came banged up, the styrofoam was broken, but the bike was completely fine. Maybe if I used standard shipping things would have been worse. It was easy to assemble by myself and I was using it within an hour. The programs are fun and challenging with various levels to choose from. The screen is so easy to read (even in a darker room). I highly recommend giving this bike a try!
