08/28/2008 | I learned more about women's rights by living in the Midwest than I ever did in college. Thank goodness that's over since I don't aspire towards having 5 kids and quitting my job.
Women's studies courses in my college were idealistic at best and didn't tackle issues that related to me personally. I think there's a bit of a generational disconnect at play that doesn't get addressed in academia at all.
