For some reason, this ball becomes really slippery when I play with it outside. It becomes bald really quickly too.

Handle great in/out side. The ball has a firm grip.

I play a lot of basketball outdoors, and it is very rare that I will see a Rawlings indoor / outdoor on the playground (indoors is a different story). It may very well be a good ball, but if you buying a gift for someone that is serious about basketball, or just want to go with a ball that is accepted universally, pick up a Wilson or a Spalding.
