if you don't know any better about being a responsible gun owner and do not have enough common sense to not play with deadly weapons while intoxicated then you should not be a gun owner.

In college my roommate tried to clean his shotgun while drunk, why I'll never know. I was in the room above him when the explosion went off and a giant hole was created in my floor about five feet away! My feet never touched the floor as I ran out of the room. He just sat there on the bed with a confused look in his eyes. I nearly choked him to death. Either one of us could have ended up a bloody mess and very dead. Booze and guns do not mix well.

While intoxicated, you cannot handle firearms, they handle you.

Yeah, I have rules against this and I've never broken them...
