Another republican as president

I'm all the sudden reminded of that old song by The Who; "Won't get fooled again". "Old boss, meet the new boss, same as the old boss". I'm reminded so of this because our new President seems to be building up Iran as an existential threat, primarily because they're considering developing a nuclear weapons program. Haven't we already been down this road before? All we need is for Hillary to declare that the cost of inaction will be a "mushroom cloud" over a US city. I've been saying for years now that a war against Iran, given its high population, wide mass of land, topography and organized military with a capacity to fight a wide ranging insurgency, would be a fools errand, no matter how many allies we get to go with the program. Isn't Afghanistan starting to look like Vietnam to any of you? Just like in that war, we started with a minimal troop force and began to gradually escalate it as the insurgency grew stronger. It's not the thought of another Republican as President, but which one that is scary. I personally have nothing against Republicans because to be quite honest there's just as many Democrats that are pretty terrifying, as well. If it's the right Republican running for President, then that individual has my vote. The same goes for a Democrat. And, as I've said before, if somebody is fortunate enough to make it in as a third party, and I like what they have to say, then that one will have my vote. I will definitely be listening to what any candidate has to say. I feel I have to do that in order to make a fair evaluation.

Dems are pretty much in the same line as Republicans.....We might as well just have an insurance company building as president.

This should be the No.1 fear of everyone in this country, seeing what damage those Republicans have done in the past 25 years.  Those pinheads could screw up a wet dream.  Once the GOP is finally discredited next month and shown the door, it's going to take years and years to clean up the mess they've made of things.  Actually, since the GOP is nothing but a criminal conspiracy that attempts to pass itself off as a political party, it should be outlawed for the common good, whatever elected officials of that pukey outfit who survive the elections should be impeached, and anyone still in support of the sick ethos and warped ideology and reckless policies of that political dungheap should be chopped up for chum and fed to the fishes.  I realize this is a rather rad perspective, but the GOP is a disease that needs to be eradicated, so no efforts to rid American society of this menace should be considered extreme.

McCain getting elected would mean four more years of no broad energy plan, and no - offshore drilling is not the answer it's a gimmick, get smart people! Another republican in office means no health-care reform, endless war in Iraq costing trillions with no benefit while the economy here continues to plunge into the toilet. Get smart fellow Americans, this is the true reality if you vote republican this fall.

Now, I'm more fearful of racist John "BOMB BOMB" McCain.

I am a lot more fearful of the most liberal senator in the Senate becoming President. That is all this country needs-even more liberalism. (sarcasm mode turned off)

It's all the frickin' same anymore...

The reallllly scary thing would be not having the right to say who our leadership will be.  Hopefully we have enough safety nets in place to take care of anyone who might run amuck after the election.

We've already lived through the administration in history, so what's to be afraid of? I'm not crazy about McCain, but I don't think he would be as bad as Bush.

Nope. I fear a left wing radical with signs of a Marxist background becoming president far more than this.

Wiseguy's not a happy camper, I don't like the GOP nominee but I fear an Obama presidency far more.

Spare me the simple minded rhetoric.  The Dems and GOP are far more similar than dissimilar. If you seriously "fear" this, you should develop a more thoughtful approach to politics
