05/05/2008 | A wool blanket is really handy when you camp. Leave your other blankets at home. Even if it is wet, wool can give warmth. You can get them cheap, about $20, at surplus stores. You can roll lots of junk into your blanket, roll that into the tarp and tie up with rope. You can wrap it around your torso and carry lots of stuff. Foot soldiers did that for years.
