Eat less salt 4

A good substitute for salt (if trying to cut back) would be Mrs. Dash -- made strictly of herbs and spices. It won't disappoint in the flavor department.

Like I always say, no one can go wrong with moderation -- in pretty much anything.

Eat less salt 5

I tend to overeat whenever I eat a lot of salty foods because i'll crave sweet foods right away...and it takes a bit of eating to reach the right balance again. Which is why i think eating bland-ish food is best. Also, your taste buds will adjust and you'll taste more flavors, not just overwhelming saltiness. Although saltiness can be very delicious in itself, which is why chips and goldfishes are so good.

Eat less salt 3

It's good to eat less salt of course. But, doing without it isn't going to cause permanent weight loss - just loss of fluid.

Not only is salt bad for your blood pressure but it causes your body to retain water.

According to what I read on a container of salt, it has no calorie content to speak of.  But I will say this. If a person monitors the salt they eat, it will be a lot better for their blood pressure.
