Truthfully, these freak me out. I had always heard stories about them. I was in Hollywood and opened the door and saw two black guys and it was for that. I was pretty surprised. It did remind me to be more careful. I made an excuse on it. All of the differences on the religion are ok to me. It may be ok. I don't know myself about the doctrine of the trinity anyway.

Jehovah's Witnesses are so constructive in their teachings and they will always give you Biblical reference to anything they will teach you. All the publications they distribute and use for conducting Home Bible studies are up to the point and dig deep into the Christian faith. Jehovah's Witnesses is the only Christian Organization that i know whose teachings and faith is not similar or common. Take a look at some of their beliefs and teachings: 1. No Hell Fire 2. True Christian's are Not Part of the world so they don't take part in political affairs of the world - Being Neutral 3. Dead people are buried and from then on they wait for resurrection 4. Earth will be a paradise 5. Christ's 1000 year reign begins after Armageddon and ends with anhillation of Satan and his accomplices 6. only 144000 go to heaven to rule with Christ for 1000 years 7. Only one true religion exists 8. False religion will be destroyed to mark the beginning of Armageddon 9. All witnesses are publisher's of the... Read more

updated 04/01/2010 5:01pm(sorry) A simple read of JW's doctrinal statements, should enlighten most that this is far from a biblical scriptural basis and purely made up by many men's delusions. It's simple, Christ came down to save everyone from their sins, that they may have the perfect sacrifice to atone for their sin! We are to ask God for forgiveness and live in obedience to his will and use Gods word as a standard or guide for our lives. We should neither add or take away from the Bible but accept it and allow God to stimulate our souls with it!!! We are to endeavor to live the life Christ did and through Christ give up self! It is sad to see so many fooled by a doctrine, that has been manipulated to mans wants and scripture dissolved for a "Selfish Godly gain!" I could go on to explain how most of what JW's believe is blasphemy, but that would be yet another Christians slant on why there are false religions and faiths! Hey all you have to do is read the Bible and most will see... Read more

I'm sure that there is some wonderful people in this organization. But, I do not believe the way they do. The thing that is most irritating is when they come up to my door, and I tell them I already go to church somewhere else, and they continue with their spiel. Some of them are very persistent, and I had one one time do something that was very uncalled for, putting their foot in the door so I couldn't shut it. That's what I call stepping over the line.

Every true Christian Church celebrates the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Cult counterfeits don't! This is for anyone out there who wants the genuine essentials of true Christian doctrine not the counterfeit revision. What the Genuine Original Greek and Hebrew Scriptures stated: Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". Revelation 7:9 all may enter Heaven who call upon Jesus name and sincerely receive Him as their Lord and Savior, that number is too great to be counted. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (the name of Jesus) (In other words God gave the right to become Sons of God for those who genuinely believed in this name- Jesus)! Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved. " (the name is Jesus) The Trinity John 10:30 Proof in... Read more

Jehovah's Witnesses are sincere and respectful evangelists who seem to have my best interest at the heart of their efforts when they occasionally knock on my door. In my experience, they have always been far less intrusive than other types of evangelical Christians who made proselytization a constant part of interaction with me, despite the obvious futility of their attempts. In contrast, friends I had growing up who were Jehovah's Witnesses never brought up religion unsolicited, and responded with kindness and patience when asked about their faith, however rude or intolerant the questions may have been.

Some of them may very well be nice and sincere people, but that doesn't change how I feel about their religion, which is totally false and not in line with God's Word. Besides, they don't celebrate anything. What fun is that?? Sounds a bit dull to me.

Like evangelicals, they believe: *the Bible is accurate *Mary was a virgin *Christ died for mankinds sins *Satan has a huge influence in the world *Genesis was literal, evolution is fiction *Homosexuals=bad *Pre-marital sex=bad *Abortion=bad Unlike your average evangelical, they believe: >The kingdom of heaven occurred in 1914 when Christ was throned as eternal king. This was Jesus' second coming >After Christ ascended into heaven in 30 CE, 144,000 were chosen throughout the centuries. There are about 8,500 left. >They are unitarian rather than trinitarian. >Very soon the battle of Armageddon will begin. (Are you ready?) >After 1,000 years, Satan and his minions will be released on earth for a short period of time. Then they, and their followers, will be destroyed. >They reject the traditional view of Hell The solicitation method that they use apparently works, they get a large number of members to join annually. But they also have a very high turnover rate. This review was just ... Read more

They really have the true religion. They speak the truth and expose lies such as the false doctrines of the trinity, hellfire, eternal soul.... and others. They teach from the Bible. If you want to learn the Truth from the Bible, they can show it to you.

I try to maintain a certain degree of "respect" for the various religions (even if, privately, I'm contemptuous) there are, but when you have to come knocking on my front door with your nonsense-- Brother, that's all she wrote. The first time, I answered the door in a towel (having just taken a shower) and an older guy accompanied by his very, very young son started in on his spiel. In deference to the young boy, I didn't tell the guy to f himself and slam the door in his face, but it was very uncomfortable. The kid obviously would have rather been anywhere else. Finally, I told the guy to give me his literature and I'd read it later, as...obviously...I wasn't "dressed" for this particular discussion. Of course, said "literature" went right into my circular file. Now, several years later, I don't maintain even a pretension of politeness or civility. To me, it's the height of gall to proselytize people who haven't invited you to share your religious convictions (if they work for you-- f... Read more

There aren't too many things in the world harder to do than cold call sales. To use this method to sell your religious beliefs seems to be a daunting task indeed. While I can't agree with most of their views, I respect them greatly for their sincere attempts to present what they believe to a wider, generally uncaring public.

With their bizarre ban on enjoyment and backward views on medicine, this may be one of the more mentally and physically dangerous of the so-called religions based on creative gospel hacking.  So far out in left field they apparently have to continue to hawk it door to door hoping to catch someone young, searching and naïve.  This one is both sad and scary.

Door to Door Jesus..just not cool annoying at best offensive at worst. after reading a former JW's blog their brainwashing guilt tripping ministry tactics put young impressionable minds at risk and in unsafe unsanitary conditions. They seem to have a fundamentalist agenda..and a very cultish proile..ther profit founder has absolutely no credibility, and was a bad example of piety. Anyone who knows a devout JW knows they have nothing of value to discuss in religion beyond their dogma..which is all they want to discuss. Their View of Heaven or the Kingdom on earth is put mildly fanciful and bears no resemblence to sanity. Their explanations for the day of resurrection and doomsday dishonors the presumable wisdom of the divine. When put in perspective of their beliefs about heaven on Earth, their heavy preaching efforts seem very pointless. They describe a picture book paradise that is socially irrelevant to simple and advanced populations alike and the concepts make the total disintegrati... Read more

...Ok, what I don't understand is that if there are supposably a certain number of people allowed into heaven...then why are you trying to get me to join? Wouldn't it be better to never tell anyone about your religion if you believ that a set number of people are allowed into heaven and that's it. I could be taking your place. And where would that leave you?

More possible than other religions. not quite focused on proving what happens after death, but more on how you should act. keeps people happy and from killing eachother. more successful than christians.
