They added Dan Haren to go with ancient Randy Johnson if he can come back, and Brandon Webb, one of the elite pitchers in the NL. In a short series they could be dangerous, as they were when they won the whole thing in '01. Arizona has some young hitters with promise, such as Stephen Drew and Chris Young, and Eric Byrnes, a veteran who almost certainly had a career year last year, but ones who may have overachieved a bit - it's probably a surprise that they did as well as they did . Could they repeat? Yes, but any team aside from the Giants has at least a decent shot in that division, and it's hard to say which of the four has the best chance.
