About me: My main love is pop music, but I love anything of a pop cultural and nostalgic value. I can't get it with today's pop culture--too sophisticated for my tastes. I am jobless, live off my parents, and very politically liberal (pacifist and some hippie values), yet cetainly not communist. Anti-drug, non-smoker, and virtually a teetotaler. I may write more later...

Unarguably the most influential of all the disco groups. Baffled why they didn't go in their first year of eligibility. Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards were unparallelled geniuses.

It's true they sampled "Good Times" on classic "Rapper's Delight", and had a small hit with a reworking of Apache, but they are among the early rap pioneers, and give credit where credit is due.

They knocked disco music out of the #1 spot for 6 weeks, and I'm sure America liked it enough--that long. But as the years have gone by, they're not that bad.
