They were so influential, members of Van Helan, Bon Jovi, Jackal, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Poison, and many many other groups and artists claim GFR as an Influence. They had number 1 hits, and many top ten and top 40 hits of both Songs and Albums (We're An American Band, Locomotion, Shinin On, Bad Time, Footstompin Music, Rock N Roll Soul, Heartbreaker, Closer To Home, Take me, Sally, Inside Looking Out, etc.,). They put on a terrific live show as well. They sold out Shea Stadium faster then the Beatles. They were the first hard rock band to have 10 consecutive million selling albums Selling over 25 million unites in the 70s which was huge, They lead total album sells a few different years. In 1976 they had the most played song on the radio (bad Time) and received a BMI award for that. In Polls they were voted the Favorite bans by landslides a few times in the early 70s. They sold out both US and world wide tours. They fit all the criterial for being in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Influence and Sales. They has to be some strange Reason the RARHOF is keeping it out and it stinks.
