Funnily enough, what I consider to be the quintessential 90s sitcom had very little "timeline" references and could have easily been any modern era set. Not only does this series stand the passing of years, hey, decades even, I can even watch it and find it funny to the point of hysteria - yes, it is smart and witty, but it also is rip roarious, wicked, and exemplifies the misunderstood and the mis-heard to new levels of glee. It dips out of the insane, and into character drama, just when you think you can not stand Niles' or Frasier's pretentiousness any longer, it shows you the rejected little boys who were made fun of in school, who could never get the girl, and who always only had each other. Wonderful, that is all i can say, wish they made every sitcom out there as polished, funny, and warm as Frasier was and is!
