I'm a guy from Buffalo, New York/United States
About me: a writer and a holy fool. The author of the soon-to-be published "The Noose Doesn't Get Any Looser When You Punch Out." From Pittsburgh, moved to NYC, and then moved to Buffalo but doesn't know why. Unsatisfied with the way the world works. Wants to be like Han-Shan but ends up more like an uptight git.

a quietly sad and beautifully done film.  the anti-marly and me.  michelle williams is power and subtle all at once.

a wretched device.  the deathknell of listening to music for quality or for the scope of an artists' vision.  the ultimate audio toy for an ADD, everything now, afflicted populice.  breaks often.  I've had a discman for 10 years now, and know people who've gone through 2 iPods already.

2008's best album as far as i'm concerned. harmonies are top notch, and the disc only gets better with additional listens.

a great Bruce CD. unfortunately not as timeless as his others, as it tends to remind/invoke 9/11 and its affter effects.

Rush has a time and a place, and they have their dedicated fans. this is a far from classic album. it's subpar Rush as well...if such a genre of music exists

crowded but interesting. Other wordly. One of the best Chinatowns i've been through (aside from SF and Toronto). Cramped spaces and ethnic foods abound, plus junk merchants, and statues of Confucious.

not bad. crowded and overly touristy. However, you can come across bars/restaurtants indiginous to the neighborhood that no tourist soul has touched, that has secret smoking rooms, and serves thin crust pizza old world style. or, be a tourist and check out all the cool little streets, bring a guide book and see where famous and infamous mobsters hung around

a great section of the city depending on where you are at. It used to be the bohemian capital of america, but now it is over-priced and the home to such 3-rate celebs as Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker. However, If you are a literary buff, as i am, you can still walk around the narrow, red-bricked streets and see the homes of such literary luminaries as Jack Kerouac, Mark Twain, and e.e. cummings. Also while in the west village have a drink at the White Horse, a great bar holding such fame as being the place where Dylan Thomas passed out (and died shortly after) from having too many shots. Dylan used to go there, and Jack Kerouac was such a regular that someone scrawled "Kerouac Go Home!" on the bathroom wall
