watchman777, you apparantly are a faithful cheerleader for Wommack. It's sad that you can't see how crazy your rants are. It's just that some people are given eyes to see who are false teachers. Wommack is very subtle, and he fools a lot of people. I agree that he is a very very dangerous man. I watch his program once in awhile(When I want to see just how far God has brought me)and am never at a loss for words at how far off he is from knowing the scriptures. Practically nothing he says is accurate. I'm not saying this to be vindictive, and I'm not judging. We are admonished to expose those who preach a different gospel, and Wommack truly preaches a different gospel.

Do you REALLY believe that God loves you as much as the apostles? Do you even know what all those apostles went through for the sake of the gospel? Do you know that Peter was crucified upside down? Did God not love him? Do you know that James, the Lord's own brother, was cut asunder by a sword? Did Jesus not love his own brother? Did you know that every one of the 12 apostles died a gruesome death(Besides John, who was not remiss from his share of suffering, boiled in oil, exiled to the islnad of Patmos), not to mention all the martyrs who were fed to lions, lit on fire, tortured, maimed...etc. Did God not love them? They were instrumental in building God's church, yet they suffered, they were sick, they were in pain. But according to Wommack, they lacked faith because none of them were healed. Wommack doesn't know what he's talking about, and he relies on people who don't know scripture to promote his false teachings

"Who does it serve for people not to be healed?" I don't know, "inthelight." Maybe you should ask the apostle Paul. Among the numerous physical maladies he suffered for the sake of the gospel-whipped with 39 stripes 5 times, beaten with rods 3 times, stoned once, robbed and mugged many times...on top of that, he asked the Lord 3 times to heal him of a physical ailment to which the Lord refused him each time, saying, "my grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in your weakness." THAT'S who it serves, "inthelight." This life on earth, contrary to what false teachers like Wommack proclaim, is not about getting every little thing we want, and not going through ANY pain, trials or tribulation. We must endure hardships like good soldiers(2 Tim 2:3), we must through MUCH tribulation enter into the kingdom of God(Acts 14:22), and because he that has SUFFERED IN THE FLESH has CEASED FROM SIN(1 Pet 4:1). Those who preach the blasphemous prosperity doctrine seek to avoid physical suffering, and they are good at making you believe that, and getting you to buy their CD's and give them offerings so that they can insure that they have all the money they want in order to AVOID such suffering. Andrew Wommack is a false prophet, period.

UPDATE: No disrespect to Osteen supporters, but I have a problem with the comment, "Osteen has decided to take another approach." The verse that immediately came to mind was Galatians 1:9. "If anyone preach any other gospel...let him be accursed." Who's decision was it, Osteen's or God's? We know by reading the book of Acts and most of the new testament that Christians were persecuted to no end, and are STILL going through the same things in other countries today. Why isn't persecution--something that Jesus and the apostles said that ALL who live godly will have to endure--happening in THIS country? Because we're comfortable, because we believe that we have a right to prosperity and easy living. Because most of our preachers are teaching a gospel of a 24-hour, 365 day a year windfall of blessings. Instead of storing up treasures in heaven, we want our "Best Life Now." A gospel of selling out to your flesh, of enduring hardships and going through trials, and of telling people that Jesus is the only way to salvation definitely doesn't sell, and doesn't make people feel very good. But as Paul said, "It is written, I lay in Zion a stumblingstone, a rock of offence: and whosoever believes in Him shall not be ashamed." That's why the apostles were killed. They didn't bring sunshine, they didn't preach about constant blue skies.

And let's look at ANOTHER thing that Christ said:

24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders;insomuch that, if it were possible, thay shall deceive the very elect. Matt 24:24

22MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?

23And I will profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, YOU THAT WORK INIQUITY. Matt 7:22,23

Exactly, judge EVERYTHING using scripture

On Wednesday May 2nd, this veteran gospel huckster was on TBN and boldly claimed that EVERYONE he prays for gets healed, and also made claims that he's raised people from the dead and that he prayed for a woman with an amputated foot, and she "grew a new foot." I've looked high and low for confirmation of ANY of these events, with no success. You'd think this would be international news. Beware this shameless false prophet

This is one of the most confusing things about catholicism, to me.  "For there is one God, and ONE mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ(I Timothy 2:5)". How did Mary sneak in there?

Timothy, your post almost brought tears to my eyes. I didn't know whether to laugh at it, or cry. For someone to say what you said is just...unbelievable. You're comparing Leroy's jailing to PAULS? And his persecution to...gulp...JESUS'???? My God. Jesus and Paul were arrested and persecuted for RIGHTEOUSNESS sake. I...I can't write anymore. I gotta get on my knees and pray for you.

I guess I'll be in the minority with Theoden and agree with his comment. People don't seem to realize that Jesus was not crucified because He brought a message of love, peace and a life of no hardship. Quite the contrary. HE said that He didn't come to bring peace. but a sword(Mat 10:34). Every single one of the original disciples(Except for John), plus the apostle Paul, suffered cruel deaths for the gospel. The gospel that Osteen preaches rarely if ever talks about suffering for the gospel's sake. Osteen was on Larry King and when asked if Jesus was the only way to salvation, he hemmed and hawed, and ultimately failed to affirm that. I can't at all see Jesus nor the apostles being killed if they all brought the same message that Osteen does. And if Jesus isn't crucified, NONE of us can attain salvation. NO one doesn't like to suffer, but would rather be told good things, pleasant things, that God loves them, that He has a wonderful plan for their lives. But is this the true gospel?
