Piss. There's a reason the Aussies shipped that swill up here. They're not dumb enough to drink it themselves.

Nobody in Australia drinks Foster's. It's hard to find even if you were dumb enough to fall for the commercials and look for it.

Similar to rolling rock. If you have to drink from a can might as well be a big one. Not overpowering or pretentious just beer. The colder the better, nice on a hot day. Sometimes a complex beer seems to filling-this stuff is all day drinkable.

Nasty Aussie spider-piss, now made under license in North America by Miller in the U.S. and Molson's in Canada. So if you're drinking it on this continent you're essentially drinking the same shit as any other mega-brewery brand. Even if you do get to sample the real Australian product, its lousy. It's about what you'd expect from a culture with 500 different words for "vomit."

Awful aftertaste as I recall.... Besides, who the hell puts beer in what looks like a giant can of potato sticks?

I'll say that Foster's Lager is OK because it does not have the gross aftertaste that many big-name brand American beers have. However, for a pale lager I would rather go with Rolling Rock than Foster's. As we all know from the commercials, it is "Australian for beer"--I prefer European brews or American microbrews!

Pours a light yellow, light aroma with a watery yet bitter taste....It’s a just above average beer

Excellent in bottles, terrible in the large "oil can" container. A good alternative to Labatt's blue if that's what you like.   Brewed in Canada for the U.S. market. I think the "oil can" version is brewed in Southern California. Check the label.

I like to buy those large cans of Fosters and drive around in my pickup and throw the empties into the ditch.  It gives the community service people from the local jail something to do when they pick them up.

Not the worst ever but a below average tasting beer with an absolutely rancid smell. I know alot of people absolutely love this beer, but it's not one I would choose to drink.

A close call, but Foster's fans swear by this stuff but it's somewhere between a 3 or 4 for me. . .It's an above-average lager but not much more. . .

Very creamy. Different. Thick like some European beers w/out the bitterness.

It is flavorless and insipid. Why? Drink Sierra Nevada instead.

Austria? Well G'day mate! Very overrated. Worst beer I've had from Australia, but doesn't force vomitting or anything. Just no really good taste.

My guess is that the Foster's canning plant is adjacent to the men's toilets at the back of Colonial Stadium in Melbourne.

I don't know how this can be, but somehow I prefer Pabst Blue Ribbon to this. I had each on tap on separate occasions, and this was more bitter than PBR. There are many beers that are cheaper and have superior flavour characteristics. Go with Killian's at least.

Contrary to other valued opinions, I find this beer rather refreshing, especially on draught.

Jury is out on this. i used to drink this for $1.50/Draft Specials at a bar called Kangaroos, in Pittsburgh. Now, i sometimes buy the $3 Oil Cans. a little bitter, stronger than some beers. no Indie beer aftertaste.

Not bad, drinking very cold it's not bad but as it warms some foul taste creeps in-almost like the taste of alcohol. This drink has a pretty strong effect on me so that's good but drink it cold and fast.

The standard if not the flagship of Aussie beers. key thing with Aussie beers is that they need to be served ice cold for the best flavour and texture

All you people calling this bad beer are either taste challenged, or have not had a properly chilled fosters oil can. While it is a bit sweet, a nice, ice cold oil can is a great way to start the night, and it still tastes good when you get to the bottom and its kinda room temp. Also the Bitter oil cans are pretty tasty not, not as sweet with a nice bite.

No stars. Even worse than Bud, which at least has a well designed label. The only good thing about Fosters is the TV ads. Just fizzy water with a smidgin of one crushed corn.

No matter how much brain damage one has. Rating this beer as good is stupid. It's like saying k-mart has good service! Let BASS waste there money on this one it wil be a loser.

I won't give it the full five stars. As I said b4, this is usually what I drink when I'm in my local as its cheap and drinkable, I used to drink Kronenburg, but I switched to this years ago. I admit, first gulp and its a bit yuck, after that its fine. Not nice when you throw up....believe me.....

Fosters: Australian for mass-produced bland wanker water. Try XXXX for a decent Aussie beer.

Ack. This beer is nasty. I can understand a foul tasting amber or stout - that can be written off as simply a matter of taste. Lagers on the other hand, are supposed to be unobtrusive, easy drinking, and mildly tasty. This beer is just 32oz of suck.
