When exactly was the definition of the term 'celebrity' expanded to include hookers who appeared on tv shows?

Even though her chest was not the largest, her Playboy pictorial was nice.

No wonder why there so many divorces when marriage is a prime time event.

I give her five stars because she was the ultimately 15-minuter. Fame on TV. Playboy. Done.

I can't beleive that some of you after all this time haven't figured it out. Darva Conger good for you She took a chance, a risk, a step forward to see what can happen. Fear is good for a person to confront. Yes she my have been blinded by the bucks and fame, and the fun and excitment before it came to the final outcome. By national poll's taken to this day a HUGE percentage of americans would take just a few thousand dollars to do ignorant stuff in front of the general public/national television, and just maybe get a couple minutes of fame. Here almost 5 years later we are still talkin about her. :) Darva if you read this, still thinking of you. G

How stupid can one person be. Why sign up for a nationally televised game show if you don't want the prize.

Okay, Here it goes: Despite winning, she did NOT think she had to marry the millionaire. Although she knew exactly what 'Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire,' was about, she claims she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She annulled her marriage. Great girl, huh?

Just a dumb bitch that went on a reality show and then went to pose for Playboy. It seems like every other month some bimbo from a reality show is posing for Playboy.

The 'Who wants to marry a multimillionaire' show started the dating show craze. FOX put one loser and twenty gold diggers together. Just like Joe Millionaire & Bachelor 3. As for Darva Conger, I don't buy her "I am good Christian who went on 'Who wans to marry a millionaire for a vacation" act. Give me a break! This media whore went on this show to further her acting career. Hahhah. Her showbiz career was shorter than Survivor 2's Jerri.

Ugh!! 15 minutes of fame was WAY too long for this talentless wonder...she came across even more stupid when she claimed she didn't know she had to marry that shlep Rick...then Playboy came along and had to add 5 more minutes to those torturous 15...

Does she really think that we actually believe that she was forced into marrying that Rick Rockwell guy and that she wasn't after his money? Come on Darva!!! Enough of the whining you are the one that claims you wanted a "normal" life if so why did you parade yourself in front of millions for a few bucks??????

I don't care who this babe married or how much money she's absconded with, I like her smile, I like her personality, and......I just like her ! O.K., so she got cold feet after the marriage ? So she began to realize that all the money in the world doesn't buy love. It may buy sex, but it didn't with her. I respect her for that. O.K., yeah, I think she screwed some things up and I think she knows it. I hope she really makes her mind up what she wants and goes for it. She'll be successful at anything she tries, she already has been. And who wouldn't be tempted to take all the money thrown at her ? I can't blame her for taking it. I probably would have also in a similar situation, as I'm sure most people who love to 'throw' stones would, too ! Just look at all the people we have trying to get on TV for their $50,000 bucks and '15 minutes of Fame' these days ? No, she's O.K. in my book. She did no different from most anyone else in a similar situation. I like her. I'd li... Read more

Duped by Fox, sure. But who would want to be on a show admitting to the world you are a money grubber? She would be rated worse, but she's got an awsome butt (thank you Playboy!)

This woman sounds like a nut case! She obviously did all of this to try and become famous. And for the money, of course. What did she expect when she entered the contest? That if she won he wouldn't want to kiss her? They just got married! She said she didn't like the way he kissed her! Weird! She's nothing to look at also, which is probably why she had to enter the contest....couldn't find a man any other way......

Who in their right mind, would go on a show and marry someone that she/he doesn't even know? I agree w/ Wiggum although, she knew there was a chance that she would be made a public idiot. I have a hard time making a commitment to someone that I have known for 2 years, let alone someone I just met.

Darva's appearance on Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire was a well planned and well executed scheme to grab the media spotlight. Apparently, her plan worked because she is rolling in money. A first class manipulator.

She sucks. It doesn't matter if you didn't mean to win, you did. I couldn't believe that someone would go on TV, compete with 50 other women, just to marry a rich bastard. That's just saying that your a goldigger and the worst part is that it was on TV so you just exposed yourself.

Hey! Rick isn't the "Multi-Millionaire" the Network said he is! The network should have had a better choice for these girls. The way they touted the show you would have thought she would have been getting a better deal then Mister "Nerd" himself.

Hey,you guysssss...look what she did,she got on this site! That gets her 5 stars for sheer savvy.I think she's a bit of a dim bulb. She wanted her privacy yet she gets buck naked for Playboy? Now,that's how I'd protect myself...She says she can't get a job because of her "fame" Ohhh, poor baby.Maybe she isn't as famous in say,Northern Canada? Quam? Antartica? And,were she really being honest with herself, why else go to Vegas, and agree to participate in the show,if deep down she didn't WANT to get married? Why did the other 49 women do it?A week's vacation?Ha!

Aside from the whole "Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire" thing, this woman annoys me beyond belief. I did not watch the show and I buy her story about taking advantage of the free vacation and not thinking that she would be chosen. However, I got so tired of hearing her say how she just wants her privacy and her life back (posing nude for Playboy was the perfect way to ensure your privacy Darva)..ok, so she decided to cash in on her fame..that's fine, but don't be such a hypocrite and say you don't want the attention when in fact you are thriving on it. I recently saw her and Rick Rockwell on Larry King Live! and AGAIN, she annoyed me to NO END! She rarely let Larry or Rick speak..most of the time she was spouting off her web site address..other times she held-up her "I am such a victim" speech..get over yourself, Darva.

I cannot stand this woman. Perhaps she is truly that stupid, but she knew what she was getting herself into when she went on that damn reality show. If you don't want to marry some nerdy rich mama's boy, then stay away from situations where this might occur. I mean, if you think you're hot enough to pose for Playboy, then I certainly think you can get a husband on your own (however, I personally do not think Miss Darva is much to look at). Then the pathetic little act ensued after the wedding where we were all supposed to feel sorry for her. Well, I didn't buy it then & I certainly don't buy it now. I feel more sorry for Rick Rockwell that he had to put up with this arrogant, selfish, shallow woman for longer than 15 minutes.

Sure it's easy to make fun of Darva for marrying Rick Rockwell on a stupid TV special, then using her 15 minutes of fame to make some cash by posing in Playboy. She's a joke. But if you really look at her series of decisions, she doesn't come off as quite as big an idiot. First of all the decision to go on the show was based on the fact that the network offered her a free, week-long trip, and she figured she'd never actually be picked as the one the guy wanted to marry. Two girls who went to my high school did the same thing. They were, in fact, idiots, but they weren't evil gold-diggers or anything. Then I think when Rick did pick her, the contract she signed said she had to go through with it, right? After a couple days on a honeymoon with slick Rick, you can't blame her from wanting out. Then, since she's a public joke already, why not pose for Playboy and at least make some cash off it?
