Thu Jun 16 2011The straight long cut is pretty good. It has a kind of sweetness that reminds me of white wine, also salty. The original long cut tastes good in it's own right, and reminds me of black olives, which I could eat by the can. Smells great.

Mon Jun 06 2011I have been dippin Copenhagen for a while now, extra long cut, long cut, long cut straight, snuff and pouches. Just about all of them have a smokey characteristic to them except for the long cut straight. The snuff sarts off very salty and has a rich taste that stays there for about 30-minutes. It creates quite a buzz and has a sweet finish to it. The long cut starts off a little less salty and has a sweet and smokey characteristic to it that is quite nice. It has a bigger buzz and has a nice tobacco flavor to it. The extra long cut has a smokey aroma and taste to it that reminds me of the English blend tobaccos I enjoy in my pipe. It is quite salty as well but mellows out and provides a very rich flavor. It gives you an even bigger buzz so watch out. The long cut straight is a very sweet tasting dip the smells like sasparilla. It has a very gentle buzz to it and has a flavor that lasts for a while. It has a softer finish to it similar to Spanish rosado cigars and is full of... Read more

Fri Apr 22 2011Has anyone noticed the amount of copenhagen in the can? when I open a new can I'm not getting a full can like I use to.

Wed Apr 13 2011First off, if your first pinch of dip in your life is Cope wg, then you're gonna have issues. I threw up the first two times cause that's all my boyfriend had on him when I first tried, but I was HOOKED. I loved the head change a ton. from there I tried some lighter flavors like Skoal apple and berry, but those taste nasty and aren't worth it. Then I went to camel snus for a bit. I had to use two or three puches at a time for a good hit, so I switched back to Cope until I found Red Man wg. I like Cope, but it's texture is too moist to me, plus they don't pack the can full enough like Red Man. Cope Black is pretty good though. It's like a good shot of whisky. :) And yes, I'm a 17 yr old girl and proud of my Texas roots.

Thu Mar 31 2011I don't dip that often but when I do I can get the stuff for CHEAP.That's one of the perks of livin down in Georgia, you're not too far from where the tobacco grows and the tax ain't too bad on it.I like Copenhagen Long Cut.It's strong without being overbearing,it's got a great taste and gives a good buzz.I give it a 4 out of 5.

Thu Feb 10 20111 star Copenhagen changed it's dating system. The "made on" date now says "sell by". I don't know about you, but most Texans would not accept a can over 2 weeks old when making a purchase (especially at over 5 bucks a can), but Cope is now telling us a can is good for a month? Call them and let them know what you think. 1-866-404-1822. They will want all kinds of your info so they can ensure you are over 18 (yea right), don't put up with the garbage, tell them what you think and let them fish for marketing info else where.

Wed Dec 22 2010i have been dipping since the 3rd grade. i am now 19 years old and have been dipping copenhagen for all 10 years. when they re-introduced cope black this year i almost creamed myself. i didn't buy the can. my step-mom bought my dad a can thinking it was what he wanted. he didn't so he gave it to me. the dip has excellent bourbon flavors and just enough burn to it. if i had a choice i would only dip cope black.

Tue Dec 21 2010Ok time to lay the law down. I started chewing when I was 12, my friends started me with Grizz mint. Worked my way up to copenhagen. So first off, grizzly is the way to go if your looking for a good price with a good kick. Dont even look lower (I.E. kodiak, Husky, longhorn). Copenhagen, The price may be high but so is its quality. They have great blends, whiskey, black, wintergreen, straight, snuff, natural. Skoal is for your lower level dippers. No im not saying if you do chew skoal your some low level chewer. But once you pass your gateway nicotine addiction with skoal you look for something more powerful, which will lead you away from fruity stuff. I chewed half a can of skoal at a time when i was 14 just to get a good buzz. Skoal has got good flavors, but to me not the punch. High price as well. Redman, this to me seems to be the neutral chew. Its great, great flavor, great price, good buzz, and the straight has a flavor unlike other brand straights. So to me, when pinching pennies t... Read more

Sun Dec 19 2010Gotta love copenhagen gotta love it its expensive but its well worth it i have tried them all and im only doing the review on their snuff the snuff is just plain orgasmic, it has a rich bold tabocco flavor lately anything long cut and flavored makes me gag, the snuff is strong and its the manliest dip out there in my open i love the fierboard can, and a pinch of snuff just makes my day worthwhile i dont recomend it for beginners i recomend skoal for begiinners perferably a fruity flavor skoal in my opinion is like a "Gateway drug" but a gateway tobacco all my friends originally used this and moved on to bigger and better things I love cope and i always will god bless

Tue Dec 14 20103 stars I am an avid skoal cherry dipper, love it, but recently I have been fooling around with cope extra long cut and it really is something, I mean the flavor and texture is tremendous I do wish as many others do that the cope brand would branch out in flavors I.e. cherry, apple. But they their reputation is well deserved. I gotta try the grizz haven't done grizz in a couple years. Also my tobacco store is supposed to be getting the new whiskey flavor the 19th, I'm pumped, the old bourbon and black was the shit a few years back. However I'm about to go get an airplane bottle of some bourbon and splash it in this can of extra long cut natural.

Tue Dec 07 2010I love cope, but still trying to find some whiskey blend around here. My friends tell me its the best out on the market but i keep trying to find it. But right now im kind of a straight, wintergreen, and original kind of guy. But i love cope, if it were cheaper, i would buy logs all the time of it
by grizzisdashit
Sun Nov 28 2010Cope is decent , ive only done it twice and i did wintergreen and whiskey , both were decent. I Prefer grizzly though , grizz is always moist , and it has an amazing kick that i didnt get out of cope. Overall , its good , but if i has a choice , id always dip the bear!

Tue Oct 05 20104 stars Bought a tin of Copenhagen when I was down in the States last month, just because I had never chewed before, and it's everywhere down there (Canada doesn't have nearly the selection that you guys do), so I thought I'd give it a try. I loved it!! I paid $3.50 for a 35 gram tin. I couldn't believe it when I got back to Canada to find it's over $12 for a 15 gram tin ($16 for the 35 gram). This is something I won't be doing on a regular basis, but I can certainly see it as a nice treat now and then. Damn over-taxing government. On a side note, we have the plastic tin up here instead of the cardboard. I think the cardboard keeps it fresher because the wax makes a more airtight seal with the lid.... Though I imagine it's a good way to ruin it if you get stuck out in the rain. .

Mon Jul 19 2010I am a about to be 40 yr old GIRL and I have been chewing since 7th grade at age 12. I Started with Hawkin and worked my way up to Kodiak wintergreen. I think I started chewing because I could get away with it. Where as when you smoke you can smell it all over you. I only chewed every now and then for fun. By the time I was a freshman in High School I was a 1 can a day chewer and chewed Kodiak until my Junior yr. I had a boyfriend that chewed Copenhagen. Every time we went out and I would pull out my can he would complain about the smell and that Kodiak was P-s-y chew. I got tired of listening to him complain so I tried Copenhagen Snuff. I have to admit that I did not like it at first. It was just a pain in the butt and a mess mainly because of how hard it was to pack. But all of this was preferred over listening to the boyfriend complain. Anyway I have been chewing Cope now for 24 yrs now and can not imagine ever chewing anything else. I have tried other brands that are Straights and ... Read more

Fri Jul 16 2010In my opinion, Copenhagen is the best smokeless tobacco in the world. It tastes so fresh and natural I just can't get enough of it! I love dipping this stuff as it helps me concentrate and feel good. This is the real man's dip, so if you're going to dip, use the good stuff. Cope is the way to go. Well, that and Grizzly. I love Grizzly, too!
by dominick1_447523876

Mon Jul 05 2010I like copenhagen, good flavoures and there new extra wide cut natty is good, ive always been a wintergreen kinda guy, wasnt much for fruity dips like skoal makes, i gotta admite a can of skoal apple in the summer is nice every once in a while, but cope whiskey blend, whoooo ehhhh, what a dip love it, love copenhagen.

Fri Jun 25 2010Ive chewed copenhagen snuff for 27yrs.then qiut for 6yrs. Im now chewing again.copenhagen snuff is where its at,if you want a good strong flavor but you must get it fresh or dont buy it! some other brands such as grizzly snuff, cougar snuff, timberwolf snuff, and longhorn snuff not flavored are comparable to copenhagen but not as strong.cope wintergreen, kayak wintergreen, longhorn wintergreen, and timberwolf wintergreeen are also good tasting.but cope straight snuff fine cut is the best.when I started it was 50cents a can!still the best at$5.00 a can. I was dipping more than 2 cans a day when I quit and it tore up my gums after yrs. of use. (in the end let me just say none of them is any good) instead of all you young kids worrying about what brand is better you should be worrying about how to quit while your still able to! im in the process of quiting again myself and it will be easier now since im not using cope snuff fine cut!
by dslynch
Sun May 30 2010Copenhagen is very good in the fact that it does't seem to wear your gums out as much. Though it has other good qualities what it's missing is the fact that it has so little options. They really need new flavors. Iwill admit though what they have now is very good and works for them.
by shady13
Sat May 15 2010Cope ahhh I miss the old flavors. Black and whiskey were around when I first started and I have to say I fucking miss them. I haven't tried that bourbon or whatever but wintergreen is great. I prefer grizz wintergreen but it's price is great and it doesn't get mushy like skoal. Good price, good taste for wintergreen. I've noticed the prices in my area have been going down and I'm fine with that. haha Cope is something I buy occasionally. I like the stuff though try it and judge yourself. Cope is always a winner in my book.
by wes223
Thu May 13 2010I've never understood why Copenhagen is so over rated. Yes, its good, but it is not the best by any means. It doesn't have a lot of juice, which I want in my dip. Its over priced (5.99 a can here in Palm Beach, Florida) and just isn't all that great.
by rush357753
Mon May 10 2010Honestly, in my opinnion, if you ever do not want someone to chew but they want to try it, give them a dip of copenhagen. I think it is the worst chew i have ever had in my life. It tastes bad, goes dry way to fast, falls apart too easy, does not last that long and is probably the most overated brand out there. Grizzly long cut wintergreen is the way to go. Lasts hella long, has amazing flavor, easy to keep together in your lip and overall is just a little piece of heaven in your lip. Only time ill dip copenhagen is if there is NO other brand i have a choice of and i am given it. I will not spend money on it. I would prefer the $1.99 can of Redman over copenhagen any day.
by mister840
Fri Apr 23 2010I tried my first can of Copenhagen long cut a few weeks ago and thought...wow is this overrated or what? I realize some people consider it the holy grail of dip, but I don't get it. For me, it doesn't really pack good, is barley a "long cut", gets dry and clumpy way too fast, and looses flavor almost immediately. I'll probably dip it again at some point, but I definitely won't be dipping it regularly. It does smell mad good. And I have no problem paying more for quality...but to me Grizzly Natural is much better, cheaper, bolder and longer lasting than Copenhagen long cut. I'm also yet to try Grizzly 1900.

Sat Apr 17 2010I was a little disappointed with Copenhagen. I heard lots loads of great reviews on it. I got a can a couple weeks ago. It was very moist, I'll say that much but it wasn't all that superior. I hate to say this because a lot of Copenhagen Heads will get ugly but honestly, I found it comparable to Skoal. Grizzly is more impressive. I wouldn't dip grizzly though, I actually like my teeth and gums. LOL

Sat Mar 27 2010here, i doubt you will see this scince i commented so late. http://www.cigarette-sales-online.com/Copenhagen_Black_Bourbon_Flavored.html (copenhagen black) i currently chew wintergreen, im gonna give grizzly another try, i need something a little stronger but copenhagen is a great chew

Sun Mar 21 2010Great, strong, good tasting, sexy tins, nuff said. Cope wintergreen longcuts ftw.
by shaggy666
Tue Feb 23 2010i truly havent tried cope black but i chew cope straight all the time since i was 10 i have chewed it and i have to use only a small dip yet it has alot of power it just loses its flavor to fast and the copw wintergreen is pretty dam good
by texasspeed73
Thu Feb 11 2010ill give cope a good rateing but it would be better if they would bring back copenhagen black to me that was the best. it had a nice mid cut for a nice tight pack and the flavor was awsome the whiskey blend is a little too strong. can understand what cope was thinking of when they discontinued it. it was always sold out everywhere i went and being a truck driver that means all over.

Sat Jan 09 2010I'm new at dipping, smoked Marlboro for 30 years and figured I'd give the lungs a break,I liked the wintergreen dips right away and tried most of them over the last 6 months,Skoal Edge tastes like crushed peanuts with mint yuk, regular skoal was good, liked Kodiak a lot...then they came out with cope wintergreen wow perfect!!! some don't like the cardboad can.I like it old school.cheap intro price, but i'll pay$4 when it goes away.worth it. JMO from a new Chicago dipper.

Sat Dec 26 2009i am only 15 but i personally love Cope Snuff! its great! and down were i live at, the cans might be a lil expensive but who cares man. and at the local Tobacco Outlet they still sell Cope Black every now and again! That some good shit.
by brightblade43
Sat Dec 19 2009I only had two pinches of this before I went to pack it, and the flimsy can opened all over the floor of my car. Ive said this before, and I'll say it again. I respect Copenhagen because they've been around forever, and have always had good tobacco with nice natural flavors, but that cardboard can has got to go. The only other natural I've ever had was Grizz, which tasted like a foot (they're other flavors are great). This tasted like heaven compared to that, but lasted just as long and gave me just as good of a buzz. To conclude, if I ever feel compelled to dip a natural again, I'm not going to pay 2 dollars extra for Copenhagen when it's really not that much better that Grizz. EDIT 12/5/09: The other day, I bought Grizz Snuff (silver label), and this stuff blows Cope Natty clear out of the water.
by ckorte21
Fri Dec 18 2009Ok, real men dip copenhagen... Period I stick to only two flavors Copenhagen snuff(5) favorite, the best there is Copenhagen Wintergreen(4.5) im a big wintergreen fan of anything, but ever since copenhagen came out with this brand, its all ive been dipping... u want the best wintergreen, copenhagen is the way to go
by fistodestructo
Mon Dec 14 2009I used to dip the long cut, but switched over to the snuff for whatever reason. I live in Colorado, and this stuff is 4.55 a can compared to 5.75 for a pack of Marlboros, so the choice is obvious. The taste is good and strong, like fine tobacco should be, the smell is also good and strong, which can be off putting at first but the vitamin N that we all love is definitely there. Powerful bang for the buck!

Wed Dec 09 2009copenhagen snuff is the only way to go if ur balls have dropped yet i still miss that good ole copenhagen black that was the best stuff ive ever put in my mouth i dont know why the hell they would stop selling their best product but ole well
