11/13/2008 | A reasonably original stylist which is quite a big deal when the rock world right now is swamped with '000s of metal f*ckers who dont have a single original idea between them. On the downside his playing can get a bit irritating after a listening to a few tunes on the trot. Shame that RATM and Audioslave are a bit sh*t.

12/18/2007 | well he may not be the best guitarist ever, but you people who say he sucks don't know shit and probably can't hold a guitar let alone lay down some of the stuff he does. Most people know him for his sounds, but man he is just as good at shredding up a mean sweep picking and some INSANE scales. Just listen to RATM's Know Your Enemy and you'll hear what I'm fucking talking about. and asshole who dissed his solo act, its not about fucking skill, its not even necessarily about music, its about revolution and rights. and obviously you have never tried to play and sing at the same time. its hard as hell. I've talked to him before personally and its ignorant people like you who judge him for "how crazy" and "skillfull" his guitar playing is, and not for the music is trying to say, that he hates. its you people that are the problem

09/24/2007 | my personal favorite guitarist. yes he makes great and weird noises, but more importantly he makes them sound cool together and plays with rhythm and funk and groove and heaviness and feel all rolled into one. he just plain kicks ass.

You can't dog him for just creating something new TRUTHINMOTION! it's is refreshing and badass to here someone that doesn't just role their fingers up and down scales and modes all day and show off their taught knowledge of theory. He actually makes something that nobody can teach and that is true talent my friends!!!

04/18/2006 | Who cares if he's a Harvard grad? That doesn't make him a great player. He is one of the more creative players that's been out there in the last 10 years or so. Hmmmmm, I wonder if he'd be able to express his musical creativity in other countries like say North Korea, or even Cuba? (I know he's already played there as a visitor)

07/29/2005 | Interesting that the word noise is used to describe this guys playing. Dont know much about him, and what little I do know is of a political bent. That has nothing to do w/music, but its hard to listen objectively to someone when you know that philosophically he is on a different planet than you. He should lose the collective farmer hat, that sh*t is dead.
