Aruba is the best vacation destination! < a href=http://www.aruba.com/wheretostay/search/type=hotel/ default.aspx>; Aruba resorts and casual beachfront low-rise resorts are complemented by the natural beauty of turquoise Caribbean waters, pristine beaches and stunning panoramas.

Modern, safe, well-developed island. Good diving and beaches, but not the best in the Caribbean by a long shot. Unlike most Caribbean nations, Aruba's economy is not completely dependent on tourism. They have strong manufacturing, oil production, and banking sectors. Also you'll notice that the place is not necessarily a tropical jungle like most islands in the region, but rather is a desert. Tourism hotspots are centered around the northern part of the island, where all the major hotels are located. Aruba doesn't have much in the way of historic or cultural attractions. Oranjestad, the main city of the island, has a few shops and markets selling trinkets for cruise ship passengers, but not much else. But the nearby island of Curacao has Willemstad, which is the capital of the Dutch Antilles, which has well-preserved colonial architecture and interesting museums, perhaps among the best in the Caribbean. The beaches or the resorts aren't nearly as good as in Aruba however.

"Roaches check in...they don't check out..." Beware of Aruba, the locals have a habit of making tourists disappear... You're better off taking a nice trip to Mosul or Baghdad...at least the locals give your family the body back...

Being from Alabama, I've been closely following the case of the missing high school girl from Mountain Brook. My advise is don't rush to judgement about Aruba until this case is resolved. Remember she could have come to harm anywhere. She would have certainly been in more danger in New Orleans or Florida.
