The highest praise I can give a quarterback is that they are a winner. Aikman knew how to win and was always laser sharp with the ball. The Cowboys had a complete team with great defense, a great offensive line and guys like Jay Novacek, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin to help Aikman. Aikman did his job and did it well.

Excellent QB that won plenty of Chamoinships. He did have an excellent and didn't put up great numbers( emmitt smith got about 17,000 yard while in Dallas whith Aikman) but the fact that he was a winner puts him up at the top, although not quite a Bradshaw, Montana, Favre, or Marino by comparison.

Troy Aikman along with Emmitt Smith are over rated. Once again we have to point out that their O-line was the biggest part for their success. Aikman had all the time and protection that he could ever have wished for.Elway, Young, Favre, Kelly, and Marino are all quaterbacks during Aikman's time that were far far far superior. Still you have to give the man credit for being able to lead and keep a bunch of Egotistical teammates in check. He also deserves credit for keeping his cool in the Superbowls and not making too many mistakes. Still Troy Aikman is a championship quaterback like Trent Dilfer is a championship quarterback. Yeah you like that comparison don't you. I think Aikman deserves a 3stars rating just like his teammate Emmitt but in order to offset all the fanboys again I'm forced to give him a 1star so that his average reflects what he truley deserves

he sucks, pussy boy that gets concussions. you praise a three ringer like hes a GOD.. what about montana? - 4. what about terry? hes got 4 along with alot of steelers? Take a good look at those years and you see that he handed the ball off to smith for a good chunk of their scores.. want to praise someone.. praise the man that muscled the ball in with a run. Aikman was just the chump handing the ball to talented players.. why not give the towel boy a ring too, lol , he made sure they were folded, didnt he?

Accuracy unmatched. TEAM player that did not NEED to be the center of attention, even restructered his contract a number of times to enable his team to sign or re-sign key free agents. Tough, maybe too much for his own good. Epitome of what the NFL should be marketing today.

Most accurate passer of all time.

Probably the most accurate passer in NFL history, I saw him play live many times and watching him pass is just unbelievable, right on the money every time, you may knock him for being hurt so much, but he was also one of the toughest QBs around, plus three rings doesn't hurt.

In a playoff game, especially a Super Bowl, give me this guy for the whole game--unless it comes down to a final play or drive, then I gotta go w/ Montana.

Performed better in the playoffs and Super Bowls than just about any other quarterback in history. Those concussions kept him from being a long lasting threat.

Troy deserves a lot of credit. He is a great quarterback. Troy has been to 3? superbowles. He is alsso a great player and likes to preform good for the team. I hope that people feel the same way about he as I do.

Troy deserves more recognition than he gets. He's one of the great competitors this game has ever seen, OH!! and also one of the winningest. Sure he didn't throw up fancy numbers like Marino, Elway, or Montana, but I thought winning was the most important. 3 Superbowl vics, 5 Pro bowls, 1 superbowl MVP, plus 55 cowboy passing records. He is perfection under pressure, 70% completion percentage all-time in the playoffs, with a QB rating of 110 or higher. He deserves to mention among the great QB's of all-time, and I'll be the one campaigning on his behalf.

I find it interesting that The Greatest, who awards Aikman 5 stars, first argues that Troy greatness isn't about his stats, then proceeds too rattle off about a dozen statistics to support his case. Talk about fancy numbers! ;-)
