Thu Sep 10 2009When I played Super Mario Sunshine, I saw just how impressive Nintendo's GameCube is. The graphics that are on some of these games are marvelous. This is a damn good game system indeed. I don't know if there's a GameStop in your area. But the GameStop in my area is selling used GameCubes for only $30.00. You can't even get a decent game for that price. If there's a GameStop in your area that's selling $30.00 GameCubes, buy one immediately. At this price, you might even want to buy a spare. I give Nintendo's GameCube a 5 star rating.

Mon Apr 21 2008This is my second favorite Nintendo console ever. This controller is better than Nintendo 64. This graphics are better than PS2 or Nintendo 64 in my opinion.

Fri Sep 21 2007Wow I think this is an amazing system, it had stellar Triple A exclusives if you don't have a GC and consider yourself a true gaming fan you owe it to yourself to get this or a Wii, personally I would skip out on the Wii and just get this thing as its 30 dollars or so at a Gamestop, used of course, and games are cheap as well, all under 20 bucks now. But of course this system has just so MANY AAA titles its hard to over look this.

Sun Jul 22 2007Say what you what will about the Game Cube, yes, it looks like a big purple lunch box, there were too many Pokemon games, and it's made for kids, and not hard core gamers, but I found that some of the games for the Game Cube, were actually not all that bad.
by ih8rateitall
Sun May 07 2006Other than Mario and Zelda, Nintendo Gamecube has nothing. The gamecube is nothing more than a purple lunchbox.

Mon May 01 2006I'm in my teens and i think that this system is pretty good. I love Mario games but the games on the Gamecube are nice and simple. Anyone can play the games also. The discs are smaller which is pretty awesome.

Wed Jan 18 2006*EDIT* Personally,I'm not a fan of disturbingly violent video games. The exception being Silent Hill. The Gamecube has a lot of titles that I find very quirky.Paper Mario:The Thousand Year Door,Lost Kingdoms, and Animal Crossing among them. I still like the design of the controller. Again, feel free to disagree.

Mon Dec 26 2005Not really for me as most of the games are very kid oriented. Mario, Zelda (Zelda wasn't a kids game until the new Windwaker came out), Megaman, Pokemon, absence of violent games like Grand Theft Auto... I don't really need to say much more. I can only think of a few games aimed at adults for the Gamecube so it doesn't really appeal to me. Also the controller is really small (*cough* kids controller), I can barely grasp it with my hands. So unless your 12 or younger this won't really appeal unless your a die hard Nintendo fan.

Wed May 04 2005The Gamcube is OK. But that's about all I can say. The selection of games is good for kids, but doesn't really spark my interest. I own the 3 BIG systems and the 'Cube is my least favorite, but I wouldn't call it terrible. If you want more mature titles get an XBOX or PS2.

Mon Nov 08 2004With the most amazing graphics of this generation, the Nintendo GameCube should be the king of video games now. The controller, with innovative analog shoulder buttons and a perfect layout that includes two analog control sticks is one of the best controllers ever. The system itself looks great and the nifty handle is just another great Nintendo touch. The small discs keep load times down and hold three times more than your average Playstation game. Nintendo's first-party efforts for the GameCube have been quite amazing. Super Smash Brothers Melee is, quite possibly, the best game of all time and easily the best fighting game ever. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door destroys the Final Fantasy series and easily qualifies for best RPG ever. Mario Sports and Mario Party continue with great graphics and improved features. We're also going to see a new StarFox space combat game! And, now, we've got Sega on our side with the awesome Sonic Mega Collection and the jaw-dropping Sonic Heroes. A... Read more

Thu Oct 14 2004This is a system for babies. All hail the X-Box!
by almightyneopet_shater
Sun Sep 05 2004Its great for all ages but, Nintendo focuses on the kids because if you see the range of games, it goes from E-Ma. There are a couple of Ma rated games but most games are E.

Mon Aug 09 2004The Gamecube is a mixture of good and bad. The system can produce some awesome graphics and has very strong first party support. And you can tell that Nintendo really cares about the titles they produce. However, the system lacks a lot in third party support. If you really are into Light Gun games (ie Time Crisis), Fighting games (ie Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, Guilty Gear XX, SFAE), etc...you best look elsewhere. And rarely does any of the system's games support online. Even though online players are a small percentage of the market, it would be an even extra bonus to pull more support for this. The controller is a mixed bag. For most first party games, the contoller works fine. A lot of multi games struggle with this. Whether it be the lack of buttons (SSX3), the odd placement (MMAC), or the terrible pad (Capcom vs SNK:EO).

Sun Jul 11 2004Ok um aiwachica,no offense or anything but games on the gamecube are usually made for younger kids and if you want teen or mature games get a PS2 because they have alot of them. Anyways the Gamecube is GREAT! I love the zelda games. ^-^

Tue Jun 22 2004Excellent machine, but doesn't have enough basketball games like NBA JAM.

Thu May 06 2004GameCube is kool, but GTA games aren't avalible for it. It's cool that it's small but has horrible games, like Zelda

Thu Apr 15 2004This system is the greatest thing i have ever had! The price for the nintendo gamecube is really affordable and the games are great.

Tue Feb 10 2004This is the best current video game system in my opinion. It's graphics match PS2 and Xbox and the system only cost $99.....You can get alot of Nintendo exclusives that you cannot get on other systems..
by forgotten_hero
Sat Jan 31 2004I liked it at first but then I realized that there are only two maybe three games worth buying and that the controls are terrible. I mean the joystick isn't sensitive at all. To get my character to turn in the opposite direction I have to basically punch the damn thing and when the desired command is finally received it's already too late.

Mon Nov 24 2003They need to make some games for teens-adults and they will be allright. quality games too!
by jorganvonsting_le
Thu Sep 04 2003Awesome controls, awesome graphics, awesome games. Need I say anymore?

Mon Aug 11 2003Nintendo will always be the best in video game systems. The majority of the other ones are just too confusing and take too much time for normal everyday working people.

Thu Aug 07 2003I don't own a gamecube, but I have played a couple of games on it. The graphics are great, but the system seems just a little to kid oriented for me. I have owned an SNES,which I think is still the best game system around, just because of the quality of the games produced on it. Doesn't have to be all about graphics. N64 is a good system, but it didn't last long. I was hoping Nintendo would produce a more serious looking system besides gamecube.I have a playstation2 which is a good system, but I always liked nintendo, hope the gamecube does good.

Tue Jun 17 2003I have to laugh at all of you tards who call this a 'kiddie console'. Don't you realize that every other console as games that target a younger audience? It wouldn't surprise me if you all are playing Kingdom Hearts right now.
by rurounishiniga_mi
Sun Jun 15 2003I played it once. And I really want one.It seems that all the games I want now are on that system...

AN ABSOLUTE FRICKIN' MASTERPEICE!!!!! wind waker? a work of art!!!! I dont see how anyone can sit down at animal crossing and say thay hate it. any frickin' one can say,"its okay, i like so and so" but still, it awsome!!! it has so many aspects everybody must love some bit!!!!! i've seen a man nearing fifty sit down and love it so much hes considering buying a system of his own. Tue May 27 2003My cousin loves this system. O and did i mention that he is two. This system sucks if you are over the age of 7.

Wed May 21 2003Even though nintendo has had its bumpy rides like competing over PSone it has come back with Nintendo GameCube. Yes I know its recommended to people under the age of 10 it also has Resident Evil 0 and coming out is the rest. And with booming rates that Zelda The Windwaker has been making I think this Game System is going to be out alot longer. (And watch for FFC its coming out some of you know what I mean)

Wed Apr 02 2003I originally had low expectations for the Game Cube, because of its reputation for being for children only. I have to admit, though, I was wrong, and I'm glad. This system features pretty good graphics (depending on the game), compact EVERYTHING (from the console itself to the game discs to even the controllers that you can buy seperately), extensive accessories (attachable LCD screen, Game Boy advance compatability, etc.), 4 controller ports, very decent loading times, and a fair selection of games. Most games ARE geared for children under 13, but there are a few good games out there for older audiences (Phantasy Star Online is a fun game, amongst others). It's a good system especially for younger players, as it's still generally geared for them, but Nintendo seems to finally be getting to the older players (albeit a bit slowly). Definately worth considering if buying for children or if you've seen the games and liked what you saw.

Wed Apr 02 2003Pretty nice system. works faster than the n64. my favorite games are mario sunshine, animal crossing, mario party 4, and smash bros melee. if you have a kid, buy it for x-mas or their b-day!

Sat Feb 08 2003It's a great system to get your 7yr old brother.

Thu Jan 30 2003First, I have to admit that the GameCube is a nice system, from a performance standpoint all the way down to its compact size and overall look; it's an attractive system. But can anyone out there really say that this comes down to pixels and processor speeds when the GameCube, X-Box and PS2 are so similar? Do you push your taped-up horn-rimmed spectacles back up when playing a PS2 game and say, "Oh my god, this is, like, sooooo 2001!"? Is there really any one out of the big three consoles that just mercilessly rips the others apart? No. When the race is as close as this it comes down to the games. And unfortunately, the GameCube's kiss of death is the fact that its repertoire has been wasted on players 10 years of age and younger in another brilliant move by Nintendo to put all their eggs in one basket. I never have understood Nintendo and I don't think I ever will. I do have every Nintendo system, however, with the obvious exception of the GameCube. And as for "Resident Evil" and Jame... Read more

Sun Jan 19 2003not that bad of a system- i work for a game company as a character animator- we are producing an xbox title and ps2 version - the ps2 can only handle about 1,500 poly character- and the xbox is 4,800. i believe the game cube can handle about 3,000 so it better than ps2 for sure- only reason we are producing for ps2 cause it dominate the market one sales - i have a GC my self.. not bad of system. i give props to xbox for its power. PS2 is okay and game cube is good cause it has better multi player games. oh yeah squaresoft is coming back to nintendo to do some titles too. :o)

Tue Jan 14 2003PEOPLE YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW HOW CRAP THIS SHODDY PIECE OF EXCREMENT IS!!! why did nintendo shoot themselves with this one? Nintendo, pull you socks up and release a classy game console again, we all know it's within you. we can feel it in our hearts, but for the time being the xbox will rule the roost

Sun Jan 12 2003Anyone who says that gamecube sucks should get their head out of their a$$. Even if the games are targeted to people under 17 years, they're still better than most other games out there. The system's perfect for people who just want to have fun, not for the losers who have no life other than video games. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!
by clyde205
Sat Jan 04 2003I would like to say that all the people that state gamecube is only targeting children are full of crap. They clearly must of not seen all the great resident evil games and james bond games. Gamecube is a great system with awesome graphics at a good price. As for those who thinks it sucks, i tried for awhile to see things from your point of view but i cant seem to stick my head that far up my a$$.

Tue Dec 17 2002I hate the GameCube. I hate it. If I were a Nazi... I'd say F JEWS! LET'S TAKE OUT THE GAMECUBE!! Only I would say it in German. Nintendo needs to learn who is the boss in the new generation gaming industry. Yeah SNES was great... but N64 came out and proved how much experience Nintendo needs in order to compete with todays Gaming Giants i.e. Sony and Microsoft. BURN IN HELL GAMECUBE!!
by lemer00e
Wed Nov 13 2002game....cube...sucks, and if i had it i would use it as a door stop most likely. it has poor games, that only children under 8 would play, and it has almost no virtual memory. x-box has over 4.2 giga bytes of ram. and has awesome games. (especially halo) it has overall, better gameplay, graphics, ram memory, speed, and even has a better name. basicly gamecube is nothing but a small box of virtual crap,no better than the original nintendo.
by yojimborules
Sun Aug 11 2002Gamecube is cheap, has all the EA sports games and Resident Evil. Most of the accesories are pretty cheap, and the graphics are just as good as PS2.
by figaro1010
Sat Aug 10 2002The gamecube offers the highest number of proprietary titles of any console. Many people point to its "E" rated games and push it off as a kid's console. Remember, though, just because children play a game does not mean the game is for kids only. Nintendo believes in games that have a broad appeal, not a single game for a single group of people. Take one of their exclusive franchises, Mario, for example. While children enjoy this game, so do many adults. Let us also remember that most sports games are "E" rated. Nintendo putting out "kiddy" games is a myth perpetrated by *ahem* Sony, and fanboys who want to make themselves feel better by downplaying another systems strengths. Buy a system for its games. Buy the Gamecube if you like the following titles: Mario, Zelda, Resident Evil, Donkey Kong, Eternal Darkness, Starfox. Otherwise you are pretty much better off getting a PS2.

Tue Aug 06 2002Nintendo sucks arse. period.
by daniel3087
Mon Aug 05 2002GameCube sucks if you are older then 10, all of it's games are intended for little kids. The only O.K game is super mash brothers and even that game is dumb. If you have a little kid in the family and want to buy them a system buy them a GameCube but if your not little, buy a PS2 or an XBOX.

Thu Jul 25 2002It's good and all, but Nintendo still targets kids under 17 years old. Oh well.
