Is this Campaign Finance reform? If so, few pieces of legislation are better examples of the law of unintended consequences. This law has been a complete debacle with very, very little positive effect on anything. Anyone defending it looks like he doesn't know much about American politics.

Again, it's especially significant when you go against your own legislation. Did you not believe in it when you put hours into drafting it, or were just stupid? He owes an explanation for each.
