 | Drummond (60) 08/03/2008 | You'd think this was a no-brainer, but McCain is in a bind. He has to kiss up to Bush, while trying to differentiate himself to independents. And this is the problem. McCain's admission that he knows nothing about the economy, his subsequent denials of having said it despite that fact that it's on film, and his waffling on the basic question of whether people are better off now than they were 8 years ago - he's got a problem. His answer? Well, it's different depending on the crowd. His solution is to attack, which has made some short term dividends. But sooner or later he has to explain himself, even if the MSM is saying this election is a "referendum on Obama."
