I don't recall Obama saying he'd repeal the entire patriot bill. I do remeber him saying he'd change parts of it. I haven't read that he now endorses the entire bill as-is.

Yes, I'll bet the ACLU is furious over this one. Have they made a statement to that effect yet? No, probably not. They know how Obama really feels about this issue, and so do most Americans.

This is Obama's second worst sellout in my opinion. The 4th Amendment may have died on September 12, 2001.
