Given my background in politics it takes a fair bit to surprise me, but this did.


Frankly, given McCains personal background, and his reputation in the senate, the only word I can think to sum up his refusals to support several (not one but several) legislative initiatives to help veterans is simply despicable.

This is the typical hypocritical use by Republican candidates of wrapping themselves in the flag and slogan of I support the troops, then do nothing when it comes to the funding necessary to support these brave volunteers. This administration and McCain abuse the military and veterans with thier eager use of slogans but refusal to actually support the troops. Even body armor. Shame on this behaviour and more use of lies for political gain.

His refusal to support numerous items of legislation to help veterans and soldiers economically is putting party fiscal policies before any commitment to soldiers. Sorry, but that makes him a hypocrite.
