The real Obama showed up for this one. His slick denial of his 20 year relationship with his pastor goes way past believable. He never heard any anti-American screeds while he's sitting there for 20 years, with his wife, close friends and recently with his daughters? Is he one of those guys who sits in the pews and naps? Now, that's a sound sleeper. How's he gonna hear the phone in the White House at 3AM?
Calling this a flip-flop is like calling the Titanic a boating accident. When you elect a president, you elect his whole entourage like we did with Bush, Clinton, etc. They all get elevated to positions of influence, usually insidious, invisible influence with little or no oversight. Whose buddies to you feel more comfortable with working behind the scenes? Neither? Then don't vote. But somehow, most people make a judgment, and a trade-off.
